“K-pop” is very popular in Southeast Asia, but only in Indonesia, J-pop is getting close. And the growing popularity of JKT48 spurs to a business mind something of Japanese companies,maybe. Actually JKT has Nozawa-san who plays double role as AKB, and her father was once a correspondent to Indonesia of the NIKKEI (Very famous economic newspaper in Japan), so that might relate to this…

Now JKT drives away K-Pop? Go Harugon!
that gonna be nice
this is just my personal thoughts;
it is seems JKT48 is not so popular in Japan entertainment, but it is highly popular and a very effective tools of advertising in other japan industries, such as tourism, electronics, even automotive..
if only those retards in our goverment could see their potential as a brand ambassador..
don’t know if me suppose to be sad or glad about those reality..
Cool Japan
I think it’s still a long way to go to make JPop /J-things arising in Indonesia, Look http://s30.postimg.org/le9i8pg3l/januari7.jpg everyday’s TTI always be all about Korea (e.g. kdrama, kpop hallyu stars ), taihen dayou ne?, JKT48 just gives a lil bit “space” to introduces what’s Jpop/Jthing means to Indonesian. Majority of Indonesian consumer (women, girls) are still hooked up by hallyu’s stuffs, you know ironically JKT48 (call it Jproduct)’s members itself (viny, lidya,ayen,lidya) always been chi-chatting all about k-drama . it proves that indonesian market have been so occupied by hallyu wave
I feel the same way as you do.
When discussing about Korea or “Hanryu wave”on 2ch,many 2ch people make an involuntary noise.
Anyway,culture is not competition. I think Haruka’s positive interaction with ChiBi is a very good example:wink:
It’s About time, excellent decision. Sick of kpop here and there
It’s a good news, by the way. There are too few choices of TV shows about Japan here. Did it will be available as free channel or it will be available for pay TV subscribers?
I wonder if there will be variety shows, old animes, or J-dorama there. It could really reduce the data weight in my HDD really
Looking forward to it!
