Contract or Conflict?
So..after a long hiatus from writing, here I am again with a restored internet connection and boom! I’m faced to a rumor that says Sonya is soon to graduate due to internal conflict with the management.
A few questions popped up on my mind. What is the base for the rumor? Who spread it? internal conflict? or does it have something to do with whats written on her contract?
Thus, an idea sparks in my mind. IF the rumor proven to be true -in which I hope it is a big false rumor-, is it due to the conflict or due to the contract? here’s my personal take on it.
We all know that obviously the girls are bound to the contract they made with the parent company. The question is, how long would that be? is it for a mere 3 months? or 6 months? or perhaps a yearly contract?
Let us just say, Z renew her contract in December 2012 for 3 months. What will happened after that 3 months? Z will need to negotiate with the management for a contract renewal. If there’s no new contract offered or Z rejected the contract offer then that’s it. Z will be no longer a JKT48 member. It is a professional negotiation and decision. Nothing else.
The rumor about Sonya that is currently spreading is about how some of the managements team hates her guts and thus sparking an internal conflict. Although it is still a rumor, I strongly believe that this is not true. IF and that is a capitalized IF Sonya really is graduating from the team, then it will be totally a professional decision and not through some pressure given by the officials who dislikes her (if there is any).
I strongly advise fans not to speculate more into this (as so do I) especially the rumored part where she is soon to be graduating because some of the officials hates her guts. What IF it is something correlated to the contract I mentioned above? what IF this is something that have to do with professional negotiation and decision? and most importantly what IF this is a false rumor to begin with?
It is just a rumor and I personally hope that the rumor stays as a rumor and Sonya will still be a JKT48 member for years to come. If somehow the rumor came true, then believe that it is all based on professional negotiation and decision. It is a moot point to blame the officials and even worse, spreading a rumor based on internal conflict that is not yet proven to be true.
For now, let’s stop speculating and wish just for the best for her. And with that, I will also end this full of speculation and big fat IF article

is it just me or does anyone here feels like there’s a hidden message in this article? it is not about sonya’s rumor but more like a whole new matter on its own. i don’t know, maybe it is just me worrying for nothing….
here in Indo, rumor have a 99% chance being the truth..
since most of us all already saw the unprofessionality of JOT, me think it is true..
but right now, JOT seems messing with the wrong person; as a former artist, Sonya already familiar with the word contract..
and yes, as a professional, who wants to perform without being paid??
Not being paid? Really? You sure? And btw i think Sonya is still an professional entertainer.
if the contract is really over, what obligation does the artist have for the management?
and what obligation does the management have for the artist?
plus the article above implicitly stated that Sonya is the type of member who is preety “aware” about contract..
well, for me personally this kind of thing is actually a common thing for a group consist of large number of member (just take example from a football team)..
especially in Sonya case, considering she was an artist before, which mean she already had a promising chance even if she is not with JKT, it will be fine for her if she is graduate..
what me imagine is; IF she really decide to graduate, me hope she’ll have a smooth graduation process..unlike the previous members who already done..

I believe Angga try to point out that some speculation tend to go too far. I personally stated my points in S48 (http://stage48.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=4749&start=4250#p674937) regarding this matter based on my past experience dealing with talents. I never touch internal conflict since I don’t know and don’t have any slight idea of what’s happened inside.
I think we should learn from Cleo’s graduation case. There were situations, created and induced partly by fan’s speculation, that put Cleo vs JOT case in a protagonist – antagonist position. Some fans even went an extra mile to target other innocent members when they saw their side seemed to losing the fight. The result, both side got unnecessary extra damage, including those who don’t deserve it.
It’s you, fans, that can rise them high. And it’s you, that can bury them deep. What kind of love that took their loved ones as the victims?
AWWW….COME ON! Not another one. Not after things seemed to get stabilized and the girls starting to get acknowledged by the society
That time will come when every member choose to find another way in their lifes. If these rumour is true, i hope they could explain the truth to us. In the future I hope JOT could being a professional and transparant . However, beside their honest smile to their fans, they have a big trouble too as idol. And as fans, we must support they. Although they are a former member of jkt48.
Sometimes the JOT did it by the right way, but sometimes they just blew their own ass off, instead. Nevertheless, my expectation is, this time JOT can do it by the right way to unravel this gritty and intense ordeal for avoiding speculative yet relentless debate among fans. Man, I’ve a bad feeling about this.
Is there anybody who comes to the theater today? I read from sonya’s timeline that she was watching today show. is there any interesting event about this matter happened? I’m hoping this is her sign to say “i’m still with them and not going anywhere”

You don’t have to be worry about sonya, in her latest tweet, she indicated that she will be back to perform tomorrow at dahsyat event, i hope she’ll be back in the theater (or maybe she’ll make a surprise appearence like akicha did in haruka’s birthday), fingers crossed guys
