3rd Gen Finalists List
The JKT48 Officials have just released the 3rd gen finalists list at their official website. There are a lot of interesting things to note such as a probably another half Indonesian-Japanese judging from her surname (Karakawa), a probably first Mandailing ethnic finalist (Surname Nasution) and also few with the same first name as their seniors 
Suffice to say that contrary to the 2nd generation whereas all finalists passed the audition; this time, we can be sure that there will be two side of a coin. So which one you think will be able to enter JKT48 3rd Generation? Judging from physical appearance alone since we obviously can’t judge their personality (yet), I personally think that Nadhifa Salsabila will be one of those who deserves a place in the 3rd Generation.
One thing that these girls needs to note that, the road once you become a member will be a very long, thorny road. Don’t expect instant celebrity status once you’re in.

Based on just raw looks alone, I’ll personally go with: Number 2, 3, 4, 7, 34. Perhaps more after the other girls have undergone some makeover.

Based on looks alone (shallow of me), the three who stood out to me right away:
52. Saras Septiani. 3 September 1997
Nice smile, bright expression. She kind of looks like Hanna and Della mixed together.
7. Aninditha Rahma Cahyadi 1 May 1999
Fresh-faced. She looks a little like someone in HKT48… Sakaguchi Riko? Goto Izumi?
34. Michelle Christa Kusnadi. 28 October 1999
She has an “actress” look about her.
Surprised to learn she was that young! She looks a little older.

I don’t know why but she looks like she could be a “genki” type.
on TL and forums people’s starting to choose and keep looking who has any resemblance with the 1st or 2nd gen,
of course in the end, it’s gonna JOT and/or Aki-P who choose them, but please search the organic one, nobody resemble anybody,
b’cause if somebody look like the others, some will be overshadowed by, and people will always comparing in the end, and it’s not “healthy”, it’s restraining them to grow up, cmiiw

I do agree that people should be more open when it comes to looks and not defining a person by just the one thing.
And being drawn to one girl just because she looks like someone else isn’t really fair, for her or the other girls competing for attention.
But right now, that’s all we have. Appearance and age, which reveals nothing really.
The girls are all dressed in white as well, another strike against seeing their individuality and we learn nothing.
(Well… okay, I did learn that Ralph Lauren makes a lot of polo shirts in white, and that two of the girls are Christian/Catholic.)
People don’t always get stuck with a look-alike label though, the example being Dhike… “the Fujie Reina lookalike”, but she’s not that anymore. We’ve gotten to know her personality, she’s matured, her hairstyle has changed, she carries herself different. She’s evolved past the first impression, as will the girls of the 3rd generation.

Holy ****! They look matured until I look at the year they borned. Man, they borned in 1999, 2000. Girl number 7 and 34 caught my attention. Mostly, the look gorgeous and I agree they will look more beautiful after some makeover. Anyway, good luck for all of them. Hope they all got selected but that will not happen I guess. Too many candidate, but anything can happen if Aki-p get involved in it

besides good looking and having lady luck besides each of them, they must realize they had a very very hard tasks to do (maintaining the existence of JKT, over come the image of the previous 2 gens, school stuff, private stuff, list goes on..)
in short; being a JKT member is not as joyful as it looks
how come me feels pesimistic with those (future) gen 3
I feel that too… kind of a mild sense of unease.
It’s the last big intake of girls… eventual Team T… if their isn’t a shuffle (which is likely anyway at some point just to even out the teams). And it’s the ‘big’ part that kind of scares me… or maybe because the auditions are made out to be this giant deal/thing.
Also a fear about how many girls they’re going to take on… because of the turnover rate… and if it isn’t all some self-fulfilling prophecy.

She didn’t apply for this audition, AFAIK. And her account wasn’t disappeared, but she change the username into JSNaviEdelyn.
Hmm.. #56 was once a finalist of Gadis Sampul back in 2011.
There are always numbers of Gadis Sampul alumna joining JKT48 audition in each generation (Kinal, Gaby, Beby from Gen-1 and Nobi from Gen-2, though they did not make it into finalist)

Based only on appearance, I’m rooting for number 60. She looks like a nice girl next door type. Me like.
Once there was 64 members when it was announced in RCTI. However it seems that 1 member resigned after the show. So it was left now with 63 members.
I have another intersting story during the RCTI show.
During the RCTI show, I was actually on the spot taking photograph in FOH with other fellow fans. Next to me was one of the mother of finalist (don’t want to tell you the number :D). We talked about JKT48 during commercial time. I kept reminding her that to be part of JKT48 members should not because of the fame or fortune. Just consider it as part of her daughter’s daily extracurricular activities. A place for her to expore and enrich her personality and talent.
The mother at first didn’t agree with her daughter’s decision to enroll with the audition. However, the mother finally accept the daughter’s decision, and support her until she reached her ambition. She’s now probably wondering, if her daughter is accepted as member, than she would have to accompany her daily to fX.
The mother had another son, the finalist’s older brother. That son actually was in one class with 2nd generation member, when she was still in school. The son was quite surprised seeing her long friend performed on the RCTI stage.

For me, I guess I’ll stick with #26 and #34. Oshiadd is out of option though – at least for the time being.
Hmm, I wonder what characteristics that would be molded out of this generation… Team J was known for its elegance while KIII for its youthfulness. I guess these girls suits the “cute” image?

A few days ago, one Japanese accountant working in Jakarta came back to Tokyo and met me. He said “Tomo-san. Indonesia De Ima JKT48 Ga Sugoi N Desu (Mr. Tomo, In Indonesia, JKT48 has been awsome!)”. It was a little bit difficult for me to stop laughing. I wanted to reply to him as (Yes, Yes, Calm down, I knew, I knew alreday…). But this is the happiest time for me as the core fan who has been watching and tracing the girls journy for about 2 years
. Oh..2 years.. My 1st Oshi-Men was Cleo. But she resigned with not so good words (I thought she was a clever girl. Especially in MC.), Long or short?…We, in Japan, say “Children can grow without parents”. Yes, I know it is difficult for kids’ life without parenets. But this saying reperesnts the massive growing power which all kids have. I want to mean JKT48 also has a huge potential growing power from the beggining 
. The 1st gen. of JKT48 was formulated as the “Hisshou (100% absolute victory)” formation by the team lead by Akimoto san. As I can hear from many JKT48 fans voices, many original JKT48 members were not amatuer. They had already started their entertainmnet biz. carrer. Therefore each men. has each special character appearance technique, such as Shanju’s trunning body round part of KFC, I think Shanju knew how she has been watched by audience. She is pro.. In Hitam Putih, Gen. 2 said that almost of all Gen. 2 are amanuer and from local small cities. But when I saw thier 1,2,3,4 Yoroshiku, I was shocked to see. Marbelous. KIII got the high power energy from SKE48!! Great! So how about Gen.3 ? Can I have more opportunities to meet any other rare “oogoe” diamonds? I really hope so. “Ganbatte!” finalists 
well, my bet is on #26, #34, #35, and #46,
