A Fan Project for Local Radio Stations
A JKT48 fansite aptly called JKT48Fans.com is calling all the fans to do a collective fans project to introduce the girls newest localized version of Kibouteki Refrain to the general public by requesting the song to be played on local radio stations. Well, kinda in the same tune with the recent 1D fans in Indonesia effort.
They will start the project on May, 27th via Twitter, Short messages, or calling directly to targeted radio stations.
The 1D fans project went out of control with fans forcing the radio stations to play their group song even if the station refused to play it, to the point that some of the fangirls forced the station to get a pirated copy of the song since the stations don’t have an original copy of the song.
Will the same thing happen too with this fans project? Well, here are some rules JKT48Fans fansite applied to minimize the risk:
- Request, not commanding the radio station to play the song
- Be polite when requesting, do not use all caps when requesting
- Even if the station reject your request, say thank you
- If the station played the song, hold your request for the next day
They also limited the target radio to those that are a-okay with playing an Idol Group song by sending them a legal copy of the single bought by their own pocket money.
Will the project won’t went haywire with those rules and targeted stations? I personally don’t know. It’s hard to control the masses with just some rules. But then again, they have my blessings for this good will of a project.
Hopefully their project can help the general public to recognize more of JKT48 through their 10th localized version single, “Kibouteki Refrain”
