    Nice article!

Btw, what is the meaning of terms “0.1”? (Zero point one)

  2. Japarta says:

    Hello, Jvalz-san

When JKT48 1st generation audition, Aki-P said “we don’t look for a member who is perfect, but it’s enough she has at least one shining point”

    “0.1” means this shining point.
It’s member’s good point which she herself doesn’t notice, fans also doesn’t notice
because still too small, “0.1” means still small or still tiny.

But as a producer, he have to find each members’ “0.1” that others cannot find, and show it to society as “1”, it means taking advantage of her and appealing strongly.

    • Jvalz says:

      Thanks for the explanation Japarta-san.

Being a Japanese gave Rena some advantage while working in JKT48, JOT showed it to Rena, and she used it wisely, so she became Rena JKT48 that we know today.

Right now, AKB48 producer and Rena should go from the scratch and try to find her “0,1”. Can’t wait to see it in the future.

But we know we are the most difficult customers in the world

        Hehehe

        • Jvalz says:

Sure it do, only Japanese people how to deal with Japanese market, but luckily most of AKB48 producer are Japanese right? (Try to think optimistic about Rena career :p)

Btw Twintail-san, I have a question in my mind.

Let’s say, we reverse the story. For example Melody, Ve, or Rica sent abroad to AKB48 as foreign member (gaijin) like Haruka & Rena do. These foreign members trying hard to learn Japanese and Japan’s culture (same like Haruka & Rena), at the end they can make it within only one or two years. Will the AKB48 fans accept these foreigner better than the local girls from Japan?

          • Duragon says:

That question always roaming in my head too. Indonesians are quickly amused if foreigners can do/learn their language or culture. Moreover if he/she can make of funny things. They would feel entertained and pleased. Let’s say just like what Haruka did and people (Indonesian) love her. The question: Does the Japanese do/feel the same way?

  3. Yui'i says:

Yeah.. Rena-chan absolutely will get the chance to break the limit and get victory in AKB48….
& Haruka will be fully Indonesia Girl from now on… :))

Thank you for your comment, Jvalz-san.

Akimoto-sensei said this in the TV show, followed by saying “I can’t make zero shown as one, and which is not what I have to do.”

Oshima Yuko said in her graduation speech that she appriciate Theater since she could be brave enough as to have good confidence that even a tiny little girl could have a right to imagine her dreams.

I also appriciate AKB project that I can know this fact again, “If you can dream it, your dreams come true.”
