I remember a year ago, June 25th 2013, when I was watching Boku no Taiyou by 2nd generation trainees. There was an ongoing gossip on that day in the fandom that a surprise would be happening inside the theater. I received Bingo blue number 9, and was called in the middle, and I was sitting on number 0 column, but on the 2nd seat from the back. I wrote my post about this day on my old report here. It was just a regular show like any other days, until the last song, Boku no Taiyou, is performed. Other 2nd generation members who were not performed back then, were invited to also come to the stage. There were still 28 members total back then. Rona said that a video would be played. All members sat on the stage, waiting for the video to show. The screen rolled down, a video about the upcoming first big concerts was shown. There was really nothing special about it, since fans and members have known about it.
Suddenly, Jiro, appeared out of nowhere, bringing a mailbox. He walked towards Rona’s spot. When Rona extend her hand to touch the mailbox, Jiro moved again. This time he walked towards Lidya’s spot, then asked her to grab the letter within the mailbox. Lidya took the letter. She looked worried. Then Lidya said, that there was going to be another video. I remembered seeing members’ face that looks worried.
The next video was shown. It was the announcement of Team KIII. Only 18 members were chosen, and the rest had to stay as trainees. I remembered seeing all the happy and disappointed faces on the stage. I even remembered that it was hard doing handshake with all of them after the show, especially those who had to stay as trainees.

The team KIII captain, Shinta Naomi, was chosen during the first big JKT48 big concert in Jakarta. Check my concert’s report here and here. During Manatsu no Sounds Good Handshake Festival, it was announced that Vanka and Rachel from 2nd generation trainees were chosen as Team J members. And during the last Flying Get Handshake Festival, it was also announced that Dena was chosen as Team J member, while Via, Sisil, Shafa, and Novinta were chosen as Team KIII members. During the last Gingham Check’s mini concert, Chikano Rina, transferred from AKB48, was chosen as the last Team KIII member. During the past year there were also 2nd generation members that graduated: Delli and Nadhifa from trainees, and Kariin and Octi from Team KIII.
During the past year, I have personally made Team KIII shows as my home. I enjoy their performance and love their setlist. They have performed Pajama Drive, Boku no Taiyou, and currently they’re still performing Seishun Girls. They even have performed a three day show of Renai Kinshi Jourei, a setlist that was usually performed back then by Team J members. There were many Team KIII events that I attend. I even had come to their performances just to take photograph of them. I wrote the team members many G+ notes, hoping that they would read the feedback about their performances, MCs, or even communication skills. And who knows, perhaps later they can improve themselves using the feedback as their platform.
Based on my experiences, they really appreciated many inputs that were given, even though, implementing them was another matter. Well, at least they tried.
JKT48 Team KIII
So what’s my personal opinion on each Team KIII members?
Yona: one of the three rebels of KIII Hahaha.. 
As the oldest member of KIII, she was always looked up to by others. She’s not perfect, but she’s actually one of KIII’s motor. Hopefully, other members would not always be too dependent on her, just because she’s the oldest one. Her keyword is “dream” and she uses it on her Jikou and many of her campaigns.
Viny: the second rebel of the team, love to read a lot, and the wisest of them all. She can always find words to mediate when something was not happening as planned. She’s diligent enough to look for clues and information about her and her team on Twitter. And if you write posts about her on G+, she always read them. Oh, and she will notice you right away.
Lidya: the last one of KIII’s rebels. She’s the hard head of the team. Sometimes fans were afraid of her character. Trust me, she’s a nice girl. She really has the skills and potentials to be a powerful member (even though I’m not sure why the management still kept her under the radar).
Naomi: the team’s captain who has the loveliest face. She’s still learning to become a captain and leader. Remember, aside of leading, a captain has to listen to members, encourage them to have the courage to share opinions, become a mediator among members and members with management. It’s not an easy job, and hopefully Naomi can fulfill such tasks.
Sinka: Naomi’s younger sister who like to show her fluffiness. She’s smarter than she look. She can always find new pun that’s being talked among the fandom. Sometimes she get crazy ideas, and she doesn’t afraid to show it.
Ikha: the girl who love cats. She has nice laugh. When she’s laughing, her eyes slant a bit, making her looks interesting. She’s probably the friendliest among the team, and can get along with anyone. She wants to become a stewardess. Well, at least Hai magazine provide her a glimpse of her aspiration, when she was chosen as JKT48 member who portray a stewardess in the magazine.
Yupi: the girl who always become the center of KIII’s performance. Fans see that her loli-ness is cute, while others would see her acts an annoyance. As center, she has to represent Team KIII’s characteristics, and hopefully she can manage to do that.
Tata: the girl who love to speak (a lot), hahaha.. She likes doing make up (also a lot). Her friends said that she always take a long time when she’s having make up. During performance, she’s one of the best. She also has lots of fans that really support her. Her queue lines during handshake festival are always full. She even got nominated as one of sousenkyo senbatsu because she has fans that backed her up.
Natalia: the suburban girl who enjoy her time in the theater. She’s an MC saver of KIII, always has idea to twist the MC talk so it would not become boring. She dances really well. That’s probably why she was chosen as the center of Cinderella wa Damasarenai, the last song of Seishun Girls.
Rona: the girl with unique fashion style. She’s also the best learner on any kind of dance. She also has great voice. If you see her performances during handshake festival events, you would be fascinated. She loves rock music, and it seems the “rock” word has become her persona lately.
Uty: she’s the most indulgent of Team KIII. She has distinct accent, since she came from Palembang. Along with Lidya, she’s one of the original members of KIII who haven’t got the chance to appear in any single song. She has done a lot to prove herself: creating videos, sharing quotes, writing good post, performing her best in theater and live shows. Hopefully the management would give her more chance to appear as JKT48 front liners in the future.
Della: if you want to find JKT48 members who can speak English very well, don’t speak with Della, hahaha.. However, even though she knows she has trouble in speaking English, that doesn’t stop her to use the language in theater. Fans practically now identify her as the girl who can speak funny English. It can be fun though.
Noella: the most exotic girl in KIII with the nicest smile. She’s also a great dancer. You should watch the whole Seishun Girls show, and you would see that Noella will steal your attention during the group song. Don’t be afraid to see her gaze. She’s a nice and lovely girl even though her eyes may look demeaning.
Acha: the girl who always stand on the back during handshake or high touch after show. She’s the one who always give you KIII’s gifts. She’s a future comedian. Her jokes keep fans laughing during MC session. She was a diver and really love environment. She’s also one of the best dancers. She has Noella as her closest friend in KIII.
Nadila: even though she’s one of the youngest of KIII, she’s a lot of mature than her looks. Along with Natalia, she has the skill to liven up KIII’s MC performances. She can be cute, but she can be dominant at the same time. Her best friend in KIII is Yupi, who is also her rival (since both of them are now on the same blocking). Nadila always read if you write G+ notes to her. If you’re lucky and your notes is good enough a read, you could perhaps get a +1 from her.
Hanna: the big baby girl of KIII. She’s lovely and you could always see her smile all of the time. She’s fond of good jokes. She pays a lot of attention to her fans. Her dance is elegant, quite different than the rest of the team, making her unique. She has now become one of the popular members in KIII since her appearance in Pocari Sweat commercials.
Via: one of the prettiest girls of KIII. Even though she seemed to have a sad face, she’s actually a funny girl. She loves to smile a lot. Her hardship times as trainees, backing up performances of both Team J and KIII’s set lists, has proven her to be one of KIII members who has the most toughest heart. Previously, before Team KIII was founded, Via has Lidya as her best friend of JKT48. Hopefully, as they are now in the same team again, they can rekindle their friendship.
Shafa: the girl who love to dance. She’s one of KIII’s underdogs. Even though she has skills and competences to become one of the greatest dancers among the team, the management doesn’t seem to think her so. I just hope that she can participate in the upcoming JKT48 or KIII’s song. She’s now performing in theater in between with her college studies.
Novinta: the girl from Bali who has beautiful voice. She has learned to tone down her voice, so that her talks are now enjoyable. Previously she has Delli as her best friend in JKT48. I loved them both when they were performing Higurashi no Koe duet back then. During Delli’s graduation in theater, Novinta was the one who miss her much.
Sisil: the funniest of them all. She’s also funny on Twitter. She can tweet funny stuff while also satire at the same time. She loves science fiction. She even has produced a short movie about herself. While it’s not perfect, but it’s really give a nice touch of her personality in JKT48. That’s probably why she is loved by lots of members in JKT48.
Chikarina: the newest girl from Japan. I still don’t know much about her characters. Let’s just see that as one of the AKB48 senior, hopefully she can be a great influence to the team.
And now they will perform their first anniversary tonight. Let’s hope that the show will go well and we have lots of fun!

ちょうど一年前になる去年の６月２５日、二期生による「僕の太陽」研究生公演を観た日のことを僕は思い出している。あの日ファンの間では、何かサプライズが劇場であるんじゃないかという噂で持ちきりだった。僕のビンゴは青の９番、真ん中ぐらいに呼ばれた。０番エリアだったけれど、並びは後ろから２列目だった。この日のことは以前の記事を参照願いたい。
その日も普段と同じように公演は進んでいった。最後の歌「僕の太陽」までは。曲が終わった時、楽屋のメンバーもステージに呼ばれた。２８人のメンバーがいた。ロナがこれからビデオの上映があると言った。全員がステージに座り、上映が始まるのを待った。スクリーンが降りてきてビデオが流れた。中味は、ファンもメンバーもすでに知っている、初めてのメガ・コンサートについての告知で特別なことは何もなかった。
突然、どこからともなくジローさんが郵便箱を持って現れ、ロナのところへ歩み寄った。ロナは両手を広げて郵便箱に触れた。ジローさんは向きを変えると今度はリディヤの方へ向かい、郵便箱の手紙を取り出すように言った。リディヤは不審な面持ちで手紙を取った。そして、ビデオがもうひとつあると言った。その時、一斉にメンバーの顔が不安げに曇ったのを覚えている。
二本目のビデオが上映された。チームKIIIの発表だった。１８人だけが選ばれ、他は研究生のまま残ることになった。ステージの上は喜びと失望の表情が交錯していた。公演後のハイタッチは僕にとって辛いものだった。特に、選ばれなかったメンバーの前では。

（あの時のツィート）新しいチーム、KIIIが発表された・・・。僕がかろうじて覚えているのは、ハイタッチの時メンバーの誰かが“ピトラさんでしょ？”と言ったことだけ。
シンタ・ナオミが、ジャカルタで行われた最初のメガ・コンサートでチームKIIIのキャプテンに選ばれた。これも私の以前の記事にある。「真夏のサウンズグッド」握手会では、研究生のファンカとラヘルがチームJに昇格した。「フライングゲット」握手会では、デナがチームJに、フィア、シシル、シャファそしてノフィンタがチームKIIIに昇格した。そしてこの前の「ギンガムチェック・ミニコンサート」には、チームKIIIの一番新しいメンバーとして近野莉菜がAKB48から正式に移籍した。二期生はこれまでに研究生のデリとナディファ、そしてチームKIIIのカリーンとオクティが卒業している。
この一年、僕はチームKIIIの公演を自分のホームグラウンドとして楽しんできた。そして彼女たちのセットリストをこよなく愛してきた。パジャマドライブ、僕の太陽、そして現在も公演中の青春ガールズ。彼女たちは、３日間の限定公演ながらチームJのセットリスト「恋愛禁止条例」さえも披露している。僕はチームKIIIが登場する様々なイベントにも参加した。写真を撮るだけの目的で行ったこともあるし、メンバーの目に留まることを願って、彼女たちの公演やMC、コミュニケーションの印象をG+に綴ってきた。ひょっとしたら僕の意見が反映されるかも知れないしね。僕の経験から言えば、彼女たちはいろんな意見を認識しているはずだ。それを取り入れるどうかは別問題だけれど、少なくともトライはするかも。
JKT48 Team KIII
チームKIIIのメンバーについての僕の個人的な意見はどうかって？では以下に。
ヨナ：KIIIの中核三人組の一人。（スターウォーズで言えば、ハンソロ、チューバッカ、ルークの３人組だね） KIII最年長メンバー。他のメンバーからは常に一目おかれている。完璧ではないが、疑い無くKIIIのエンジンの一人。他のメンバーは、彼女が年上だからといって頼り過ぎないようにして欲しい。彼女のキーワードは“夢”、自己紹介はもちろん機会があるごとにいつも言及している。
フィニ：.中核の二人目。読書家でメンバーの中で最も博識。物事がうまく進まない時、彼女は常に調整役を果たす。自分やメンバーについてのツィートからも、ヒントや情報を精力的に収集している。G+へのファンの投稿もしっかり読んでいる。そう、すぐに君だということに気づいてくれるだろう。
リディヤ：中核三人組の最後の人物。頑固一徹。ファンはそのキャラクターに恐れをなしたりするけれど、そんなことはない、僕が保証する、ナイスガールだ。技術も潜在力も中心メンバーとしてやっていけるパワーは十分。（なのに運営が彼女をちゃんと推さない理由が分からない）
ナオミ：チームのキャプテンで一番の美人。キャプテンとしてのリーダーシップをまだまだ勉強中。大事なことはメンバーを引っ張っていく力もそうだけれど、キャプテンはメンバーの言うことに耳を傾け鼓舞しなければならないし、意見を受け入れる度量も必要だ。メンバー間のまとめ役やメンバーと運営との仲介役も求められる。易しい仕事じゃないけれどナオミがその責務を果たすことを願っている。
シンカ：ナオミの妹。好んでほんわかとしたイメージを打ち出しているが、それは見せかけで実は頭の回転が速い。ファンの間では彼女の駄洒落好きは有名だし、しばしば、ぶっとんだアイデアを出して、しかもそれを平気でやってしまう。
イカ：猫が大好き。笑顔がとても素敵で、笑うとちょっとたれ目になって、えも言われぬ表情になる。チームの中で一番フレンドリーな性格で、たぶん誰とでもうまくやっていける。彼女がなりたいのはスチュワーデス。先日、ハイマガジンは彼女の憧れをちょっとだけ叶えた。JKT48の“願望特集”の中で、スチュワーデスに扮した彼女の写真を撮って記事にしたのだ。
ユッピ：KIIIのセンターを務める。ファンは彼女の立ち居振る舞いをとても可愛いと思っているが、なかにはいらつく人もいるかも。センターとして、彼女はKIIIのキャラクターを体現しなければならない。うまくこなしていってくれることを願っている。
タタ：お喋り大好き(笑)、メイクも大好き。いつもメイクアップが長いので友達の間では有名らしい。ベストなパフォーマンスを見せるメンバーの一人だ。献身的なファンの数は半端じゃなくて、握手会の列はいつも満杯だ。彼らの強力なバックアップは、彼女を総選挙で選抜メンバーに押し上げた。
ナタリア：劇場が大好きな、地方出身（ジャカルタの西方、バンテン州）の女の子。KIIIにおけるMCの達人。彼女の捻ったMCは観客を飽きさせない。ダンスも素晴らしく、青春ガールズのトリの曲「シンデレラは騙されない」のセンターを任されているのも頷ける。
ロナ：ユニークなファッションセンスの持ち主。どんなダンスでもすぐ習得する能力がある。歌声も素晴らしい。握手会でやる彼女のパフォーマンスを観たら、もう虜になること請け合い。ロックが大好きで、彼女が叫ぶ“ロック！”というフレーズはトレードマークとなった。
ウティ：KIIIで一番甘えん坊なキャラクター。パレンバン出身なのでアクセントが独特。KIIIでは、リディヤとともに一度もシングル曲に参加したことがない。ビデオを作ったり、色んな話題を紹介したり、面白い投稿をしたり、劇場でもイベントでも全力で良いパフォーマンスを見せたりと頑張ってきた。運営が彼女にもっとチャンスを与えてくれて、将来KIIIの一線で活躍出来ることを願っている。
デラ：JKT48のメンバーと英語で話したいと思ったら、デラは止めたほうがよい（笑） でも自分の英語が酷いと分かっていても、劇場で英語を使うことは止められないらしい。最近ではファンも彼女のことを、英語を話せる（だいぶおかしな英語だけど）メンバーの一人と仕方なく認めている。まあそれはそれで面白いんだけどね。
ノエラ：素晴らしい笑顔のKIIIで一番エキゾチックな女の子。優れたダンサーでもある。青春ガールズをぜひ全編観て欲しい。そうすればグループソングの時の彼女に目が釘付けになるはずだ。彼女の視線を怖がってはいけない。いじめっ子のような眼差しに思えるかもしれないけど、ほんとは可愛くてナイスな女の子なのだ。
アチャ：握手会やハイタッチの時はいつも後ろのほうに立っている。彼女はいつもKIIIからのプレゼントを渡してくれる。コメディアンとしても将来有望。彼女のジョークは毎回MCセッションで大受けだ。ダイビングをやっていたこともあって環境への意識が高い。ダンスも素晴らしい。KIIIでの一番の親友はノエラ。
ナディラ：KIIIでは一番若いメンバーの一人だけれど、見かけ以上に大人である。ナタリアと同じく、KIIIのMCを盛り上げる能力を持っている。可愛くもなれるし、一方で他を寄せ付けない優美さも出すことが出来る。KIIIで一番のライバルであり親友でもあるのはユッピだ（二人はいま、同じ立ち位置やダンスの割付で競っている） ナディラはG+の投稿をちゃんと見ていて、うまくいけば彼女から“イイネ！”をもらえるかもしれない。
ハンナ：KIIIの大きな赤ちゃん。いつも微笑んでいる愛すべき女の子。ジョークが大好き。ファンにすごく気を遣う。彼女のユニークな点は、ダンスが他のメンバーとはだいぶ違ってとてもエレガントなことだ。ポカリスエットのCMに出て以来、KIIIの人気メンのひとりとなった。
フィア：KIIIの中でも綺麗なことでは一、二を争うメンバー。ちょっと物憂げな表情に見えるが、実際はすごく面白い女の子でよく笑う。研究生としてチームJやKIIIのセットリストでバックダンサーを務めていた下積みの経験は、KIIIで一番強い気持ちを持つメンバーであるという評価を彼女に与えた。KIIIが結成される前フィアとリディヤは親友だった。同じチームになったいま、また友情が復活すればいいなと思う。
シャファ：ダンスが大好き。KIIIでは下積みを経験した一人。チームの主力ダンサーになれる技術も能力も備えているが、運営はそうは考えていないようだ。これからどんどんKIIIの曲に参加して欲しい。ずっと大学と劇場公演の両立に頑張っている。
ノフィンタ：美しい声の持ち主。バリ島出身。発声法を習ってトーンが落ち着いたおかげで、トークが聞きやすくなった。JKT48ではデリと親友だった。当時聴いた彼女とデリの「ヒグラシノコイ」は良かった。デリの卒業を一番寂しく思っていたのがノフィンタ。
シシル：全メンバーの中で一番愉快な女の子。彼女のツィッターも面白いが、同時に皮肉っぽいこともよくツィートしている。SFが大好き。自分のショートムービーを作ったこともある。よい出来だったとは言い難かったが、JKT48の中でもユニークな個性を持つメンバーであることを知らしめた。たぶん、このあたりがメンバーの多くから愛される理由なんだろうと思う。
ちかりな：日本から来た新しいメンバー。まだ人となりはよく分からないけれど、AKB48の先輩として、チームに大きな影響を与えてくれることに注目していきたい。
今夜、彼女たちは一周年記念のパフォーマンスを行う。ショーが楽しいものとなることを、そして素晴らしい成功を収めることを大いに期待している！
これからも、もっともっと色んなことに挑戦して欲しい。頑張って! チームKIII !

Is there a reason you called those 3 as “rebels”?
Those three are practically the voice of K3 now. Yona is the soul (the one who is able to hold the team together), Viny is the mind (the one who always try to figure something out for the best of K3), and Lidya is the body (the embodiment of physics in K3).
I label those 3 as “rebels” as in “Star Wars Rebellions” – the ones who make the team alive until now.
Ah, much appreciated. I thought the rebel means as those who don’t listen.

me and several fellow fans also have the thought that Vivi is the actual leader/master mind of K3..
this is actually very interesting, because each team now have their own characteristic..
when she speaks, other will listen.. when she acts, other will follow.. me also agree when you stated that she is the rebellions leader of K3 and perhaps this was also the reason management did not very fond of her.. one of the fans told me, that on one of seishun girls show, all K3 members agreed to make Vivi as K3 frontier in senbatsu.. they will do anything to make her JKT next center which eventually made her cry
I kinda annoyed with cigull lolli act, but yupi just adorable. I don’t know why, although both cute, both have the same lolli manners
Thanks for the article. As for the far fans, it helps me a lot to figure out how their character really are. Me, who just following JKT48 from internet assume that team K3 still lack of uniqueness. So I hope K3 can grow better and better so they can be on par with Team J, or maybe much better.
