DnT Field Report – Cindy Gulla Graduation Announcement

Okay guys, the moment you’ve been waiting for has arrive, this is my field report on Friday’s Dareka no Tame ni show which surprisingly ended as Cindy Gulla’s graduation announcement

Pre-Show

Arrived at fx between my lunch break, At first I have no intention to watch today’s show and only want to register my two shot card so I can have two shot session with my oshi later on, unfortunately the registration haven’t started yet until the ticket booth open at 16.30, so I decided to try my luck and asked for a waiting list number from security staff and got number 56. After that I went back to the office to continue my meeting with a client.

After a meeting which pretty much ended faster than I thought, I quickly rushed to fx to meet some friends and killing some time before the waiting list queue start. When the queue start, a fan which I just knew offer me his waiting list number (39) since he’s got a lower number (30), I’m gladly took his offer since I’ve got nothing to lose, lucky me my number called up and eligible to purchase a ticket to watch today’s show.

Show

After passing the security checkpoint and enter the theater door, I found out that the theater is pretty much full and standing is the only option left, so I stand in the left wing near the stage (my friend and I call the spot as “Spot Rindu” or “Missing You Spot” since the place itself is very very near the stage and you”ll free to wave at the member which got the left blocking)

Kage ana : Sendy, she specifically apologized that the show will be delayed for a moment due to technical reasons.

Two things I realized in this three songs: first, members sang the song live, with some of their voices going up and down. Second, Dhike who supposed to be on the lineup was not present and replaced by Shafa (trainee)

Jikoshoukai + MC Session (Cindy absent for this session) : If Members have a chance to sing Kimi to Boku no Kankei, which member will be their partner?

M04. Bird (Melody,Kinal,Cindy)

Finally I can hear Cindy’s deep voice live, it was marvelously great, Melody aand Kinal voices are also good, and who would’ve thought that this might be the last time Cindy’s singing voice will be heard around at the teather

M05. Nage Kiss de Uchi Otose! (Nabilah,Shania,Ayana,Beby,Sonia,Gaby)

Gaby serve as Jeje’s under. She’s pretty much fun to hear with her live voice in this fun song

M06. Shinkirou (Rica,Veranda)

Their duet are flawless combination between Veranda’s voice who sing in upper register and Rica who sing in lower key make this song complete, also, their expression are spot on

M07. Rider (Ghaida, Shafa, Frieska, Sendy)

Their expressions getting better especially when staring the audience silently, their voices are also good.

MC 2: Free Talk About The Unit Song

Since the show begin late they have to cut the session, they’re talking about the story behind all unit song but not as much as usual

M08. Seifuku ga Jama wo Suru

Somehow, I felt that this song was performed wilder than usual, all members brought out their sex appeal to the max.

M09. Natsu ga Ichatta

A little laid back performance by the members, maybe they want to reserve the energy until Tsuki no Katachi so they won’t out of breath

M10. Koike/Adyth

A breakthrough performance by Veranda, since she do the monologue live, she can play her tone and expression, which is good and also she use Manado languange in one of the monologue line. Wonderful performance

M11. Tsuki no Katachi

In this song, members gave it all they got, the dance and the singing was spot on, props to Shafa who only just perform this setlist twice (this night is her second performance), but she can follow through team J members dancing speed and accuracy

MC 3 (Cindy joining in) : Before you go to sleep, what activities members usually do?

Rica : Sometimes watch TV or sit outside the house watching the stars while thinking of “you”

Cindy : Before answering, she do her usual jikoshoukai, then she said that usually she go downstairs call her mama to put her in bed, because she affected by the horror movie she just watched

Delima : Usually eating, but now she played Flappy Bird

Nabilah : Do her homework ,changing clothes, wash her face

Melody : Dance practice, play Flappy Bird, but will change into other games since it isn’t that interesting for her.

Veranda : Do her college assignment and turn on her lamp which has stars on it and stare at them until she got sleepy

Gaby : Listening to the music and pray (if she remember, LoL)

M12. Dareka no Tame ni

Shania cried while singing this song. She got emotional , I wonder if she already knew about what will happen in the end of the show?

Encore Sendy 200!!! (Beacuse tonight is Sendy’s 200th performance in the teather)

M13.Medley (Aitakatta-Kimisuki-Baby!Baby!Baby-Ponyshu)

As usual, they performed the song very good. It’s always nice to hear the song that begins their journey, Ayana and Sonia missing from this point on forward.

MC 4 : What ‘s in your mind right now?

Shafa : I hope it doesn’t rain, since it’ll be hard to get home due to flood.

Beby : Sendy is great, she already reached her 200th performance, number one in here.

Frieska : What time should I sleep tonight? can I sleep tonight?

Ghaida : Thinking her final exam on Monday

Delima : How to make her cheek smaller

Sendy : Happy, saw all the banner, thanks for all who support me

MC 5 : What’s your favorite word today?

Kinal :  Ganbatte jangan bete & manaketehe

Rica : Oh, my god. Oh, my darling. Oh, my love

Nabilah : this is so kid men, kutil, btw eniwe bawe

Melody : dari dulu, naon deui aja, oh iya (with Im3 commercial tone)

Gaby : keep smile

Veranda : demi apah

M14. Namida uri no Shoujo

Done perfectly. They sang the song live. A very good nice performance by the membesr to end the night.

During Last Greeting, Cindy halted the members and said that she has an announcement (okay I’m feeling a little bit chill). She said that it’s been two years since she first joined JKT48.  JKT48  is not only the place to learn but it’s more like family to her with so many happy and sad moments, but she has other dream and two years is enough to her to learn, she recalled all the members name and finally hug Gaby.She told everyone that someday, maybe people will forget her, but she’ll never forget them all, finally she said this is the toughest decision she ever made and I hope everyone will understand and support her,so with this she ended the sentence by

“I Cindy Christina Gulla, announce that I’ll graduate from JKT48”

After she ended her sentences some members burst into tears ,Shania can’t handle her emotion and rushed into the backstage, Ghaida looked down and even Kinal and Melody wants to cry but they try to keep their coolness. Moment of silence breaks down after Kinal said that they all thankful to able to meet Cindy and acknowledged that her decision is not easy and told everyone to support her. Melody added that Cindy is the most cheerful and hardworking person she ever met and she’ll be successful whatever a path she might choose in the future.

The show ended with a group picture.

After Show

Getting into the high touch my feeling are mixed, can’t believe what I just saw and hear. How can Cindy graduated so fast, well she’s not my oshi but her cheerful and loud voice make the theater different. On high touch, Cindy was at the end of line and she still smiling as usual and called me “om”, that might be the last time I heard her call me that. Well good luck for your future Cindy, seeing your hard work in JKT48, I’m pretty sure that you’ll gain success whatever path you’ll choose.
