Rena Nozawa Begins Google+ Talk Show in Japanese
Yesterday, Rena Nozawa posted on Google+ what appears to be the first of a series of 90-second talk shows that she plans to record for her followers. Her goal is to become more confident in speaking in public using Japanese, and she welcomes input on what topics she should cover. Rena will also include language lessons on Indonesian in her videos for fans in Japan.

皆さんこんばんわ、野澤玲奈です。
Good evening everybody! I’m Nozawa Rena.
私は日本語とMCが下手くそなので、下手くそなことを克服するために私はぐぐたすで一人ラジオをやりたいと思います。
Because I’m not good at Japanese and MC, now I’m going to have my own radio program on Google+ to overcome it.
このラジオは1分半で皆さんに面白いことをしゃべっていきたいと思います。
In this radio program, I’d like to talk to you about interesting things within 1.5 minutes (90 Seconds).
面白いことについては、ネタや話して欲しいことをコメント欄で募集しているので、それについてしゃべっていきたいと思います。
Regarding to interesting things, I’d like you to post them on comment form of Google +. And I will talk about them.
では次はインドネシア語講座です。
So, let’s move on to Bahasa Indonesia lesson from me!
今日のインドネシア語講座は、お休みの日とお休みという意味でLibur とHari Libur です。
Today’s lesson is “Libur” and “Hari Libur”, they mean “Holiday” and “Day off”
Hariは日という意味があって、Libur はお休みなんで、お休みの日という意味になります。
“Hari” means “day”, and “Libur” means “day off”. So it means “holiday”.
もう一度言います。Libur. Hari Libur
I say again, “Libur” “Hari Libur”.
皆さんも最近はお正月で、ずっとお休みなのだろうで…
なのでしょうから、皆さんもこれを勉強して覚えて欲しいです。
New year comes shortly, and you guys have holidays, right?
So I’d like you to study and remember these words.
次は、これはインドネシアのバジャイ、のマグネットです。ちょっと写すものがなかったのでこれになっちゃったんですけど…
And next… this is Bajaj in Indonesia, but magnet one.
I have no other things to shoot but this, today I shoot this one.
じゃあこれは私は日本語ができないので、日本語の音読をしたいと思います。皆さんアドバイスをよろしくお願いします。
これ、何か皆さん知ってますよね?
Well, I’m not good at Japanese, you know. But I’ll try to read aloud.
Please give me your advice, yoroshiku onegai shimasu.
You know this, don’t you?
我輩は猫である。名前はまだ無い。どこで生まれたかとんと見当もつかぬ。なんでももう…
I am a cat.
As yet I have no name.
I’ve no idea where I was born.
All I remember is that… (Beep!)
時間終わっちゃいました!バイバイ!
Oh, time is over! Bye bye!
*remarks
Rena read a Japanese famous novel, “Wagahai wa neko de aru (I am a cat)” by Natsume Soseki
Rena’s talk show appears to be inspired from the videos posted by Rina Hirata, her fellow teammate in AKB48 Team K. Rina periodically posts videos of English–Japanese language lessons on Google+. The two were recently interviewed by Fuji TV International, the English edition of Japan’s Fuji TV, in which both girls demonstrated full proficiency in English.
full proficiency in english.
more like, it’s their first and native language w w w w w xD
both rena and hirari have stated that they are more comfortable speaking in english.
That’s good to hear. If an overseas fans want to talk to them, it would be easier. Must be hilarious if they talk to each other in english among the AKB48 Team K members. They would having a hard time to understand them especially if they talk faster than normal conversation. I imagine that they always teasing another members using english and having fun by themselves.
