The Unofficial Digital Fan Magazine : FlickrJKT48
FlickrJKT48 group have just released their second unofficial digital fans magazine with a much more revamped layout and design that resembles a professional magazine FOR FREE.
Judging from the pictures available and the layout, it seems like the digital fan magazine was made by a group of professional reporters and designers that fortunately fell in love with JKT48. The growth of local fans with their own respective groups have just matured into a very nice digital fan magazine.
The unofficial digital magazine could be a great alternative for those without official fans club membership with their official digital magazine. The contents, the layout and the pictures is not losing a mere inch to that of the official digital magazine. Suffice to say that I even prefer the digital fans magazine more to be honest.
The only downside is that they do not have any English edition currently. But who knows? with their abundance resources of professionals in its own respective fields, it is highly possible that they will be releasing an English edition for their third publication.
Of course we would love to translate the contents after the official guide book translation project finished. But for now, worry not as there are tons of pictures in that magazine that says it all for the written context.

I would say it’s the effect of the fans demography development, which by now had reached a wider community and groups. Including these people – who are probably professionals in printed media.
I’m amazed at how they worked on this magazine. Even though it mostly contains pictures, I like the way they put the articles between them. For such a compact magazine to be put on the net for free is a dedication indeed – a dedication between fans to their idols and fellow fans.
Glad that such good fans existed within our fandom.
I think the best way to translate this would be to contact the creators for the digital proof so a full English version can be published.

I think that’s a retweet from a reader who hopes there will be an international edition. The translation must be done properly though for the magazine to maintain its semi-professional image.
One of the contributors to the magazine just tweeted about an hour ago:
“The @FlickrJKT48’s 2nd edition of mothly ebook translations are halfway done.”
So I’m positive they will release an English edition

Yeah, and I think it would be even better if they also release a Japanese translation
English is a good start. Eventually I believe the will also have Japanese edition ready to be published.
