The National Delusions Day

Today is the first JKT48’s handshake event. As expected this event nature is for the idols to get closer with their fans. This whole event can be called successful. Even tough there are still many things that need to be fixed.

The event itself started at 10 AM local time and finished at 08:30 PM. The event itself was divided into 10 sessions with a single break at 2 PM. Since I just came at 11 AM then I started to become the spectator at the start of session 2. As happened when OGB signature event, there were members who have a long queue of fans and some are short, or even “empty”. And the surprise is that it turns out some of the KKS could have longer queue then team J’s member. From my observation, Vinny, Ikha, Via, Shinta, Yupi have some considerable queue. Especially for Vinny, her queue can be aligned with the front liner of team J.

A couple of team J’s members have increase their fans compared to OGB signature event. But some also experience some decreased fans in numbers. Based on my observations Delima and Beby got a pretty significant additions. While Ghaida decreased slightly. Team J member with the highest queue is Nabilah with almost all fans lined up for Nabilah in Session 8. I roughly estimated about 400 people who wanted to shake hands with Nabilah, so the official “forced” to add the handshake session for Nabila into 3 sessions: session 8, 9, 10.

As their first ever Individual HS event, some members already provided the fans with good “service”. As I noted Ve, Shania, Rona, Vinny, Ikha was not awkward for greeting and chatting with their fans. Today I shake hands with Ve, Vinny, Ikha, Ayana, Yona, Yupi, Ayen, Cigul, Harugon, Akicha, and Shania. I am honestly surprised by how Ve greeted me with “Why now I rarely see you at theater?” or Ikha’s “Kak, I often saw you watched our performances at theater, but I don’t know your name.” Fortunately Ikha and Ve were placed quite afar from each others during HS event, maybe if Ve heard what Ikha said, she would know that I “cheated” on her with the KKS, .

Akicha also good in HS. Specifically for Akicha, it was so obvious that Akicha is already quite good in the experience in handshake event, she even asked me my name, . Obviously the greetings made ​​some fans became Delusional. Maybe including me, . Even there are some members who playfully “poked” their fans by showing some playful nature of jealousy. Such as Stella who greeted her fans with “Cool, you already got a handshake with *****,” which obviously made the fans turned red. Or Shania who was challenging her fans “Tell me, is all your handshake tickets is only for me?”. It is undeniable, there are some members who are still awkward, perhaps because they are basically a shy or quiet person. I hope in the future they could open themselves more in HS event.

From many members whom I chose to do handshake with, I was mostly impressed with Ve, Vinny, Akicha, and Ikha. For Vinny, Akicha, and Ikha, they were very willing to ask my name. Ve apparently has enough attention for me, . To be honest, I first wanted to Oshihen from Ve, but because of today HS with her I think it will still take a long time for me, . From what I heard from some friends, Nabilah and Melody also did quite a good job in terms of giving fan service at the event. So do not be surprised if a lot of fans that day was smiling alone or even took some unrequited crush as their first world problem. This was all due to JKT48 members really did a very good job.
