JapaneseStation (JS) : Which artist are you looking forward to this evening?
Hanif (H) from Jakarta, Indonesia : JKT48
Ugie (U) from Palembang, South Sumatera, Indonesia : Surely JKT48.
JS : Now that JKT48 has been nominated in this awards event, how do you feel about JKT48 being one of the nominations?
U : Obviously we are very happy, I came very distant away from Palembang to here. Very happy for sure.
H : Joyful, proud.
U & H : Proud.
JS : In your opinion, do you think JKT48 will win the category in which JKT48 was nominated for?
H : Looking at the votes, they will probably win.
JS : How do you feel if really JKT48 win the award?
H & U : Very happy.
JS : Especially for you, having come from far away.
U : I want to perform wotagei (note : dancing and cheering gestures performed by wota, i.e. fans of Japanese idol singers) for 2 hours.
JS : Up to 2 hours?
U : I want to perform wotagei up to 2 hours if they win.
JS : Whom is your oshimen (note : the member that a fan supports)?
H : For me, it’s Nabilah.
JS : Nabilah?
H : Yes, Nabilah.
U : And for me, it’s the Laksanis (note : referring to Laksani sisters in JKT48); Frieska and Melody. Frieska. Melody.
JS : Absence of either (of Laksani sisters) would make it incomplete right?
U : Yes.
JS : Are you wearing the traditional Japanese costume as a form of appreciation?
H : Yes.
JS : Any message to JKT48 members?
U : Our message is that for both the 1st and 2nd generations to keep their spirit high, to put effort in keeping the cohesion, which currently exists within the group for close to 1 year already (note : it’s actually more than 1 year already), be fought for together. Do not easily crumble. We will always cheer for JKT48 through wotagei.
H : Yea, same message as his.
JS : Thank you.

Melody : I hope that we can win other awards. Amen. We also hope that we will become the number 1 idol group in Indonesia and that we will be able to go international. Amen.
JS : How do you feel now?
Cindy : I am very happy. We never imagined we could have won this award since this is our first ever award. We, all JKT members and myself, are really grateful to God for this “Best Group” Award because even to get merely nominated for the award isn’t easy. We have to accrue the most votes and apparently JKT was in the top 5 most votes among the other 4 competing nominees.
JS : How do you feel now?
Kinal : I am very happy, representing all JKT48 members, we are certainly very happy because this is our first ever award and and we were crowned as “Best Group”. Alhamdulillah (note : Arabic language for “praise be to God”), all of our sacrifices and hard work are paid off, proven by our accrual of this award. Thank you, Yahoo OMG!.
Cindy : In order to be 1 of the 5 nominees, we have to be most searched in Yahoo. And apparently, we got it!
Kinal : Yeah.
Cindy : We never expected we would win the award. Yeah, we are winners! Winners! Winners! Winners! And we got a trophy!
Kinal : Yea.
Cindy : Thank you, all.
JS : How do you feel now?
Gaby : We have mixed feelings.
