JKT48 2nd Gen [Final Audition]

Just recently, JKT48 conducts an audition for its 2nd generation’s members selection, which was aired on one of Indonesian private TV station, RCTI.

When the audition was established, 200 girls out of approximately 5000 registrant was filtered and called to audition. 67 candidates were then selected and went to face some challenges in a 3 days quarantine such as extreme physical exercise and dance tutorial.

Yesterday (06/10/12) these 67 candidates were to face supposedly the “final audition” of JKT48’s 2nd generation audition which was aired live on RCTI. It was however just another troll by Aki-p, who yesterday made a suprising appearance in large screen while the show was airing live. He stated that yesterday’s audition was not the real final audition, then make a sudden -announcement saying that the final audition will be held in Japan with him being the judges along with other high-ranking AKB48 staffs.

Translation of the announcement done by Angga:

“I’m Yasushi Akimoto, AKB48 Total Producer. Congratulations to all the finalist. BUT. The audition is not stopping here, I want to invite you to Japan to participate in the real final audition. And of course, AKB48 staff will also take part in judging the new JKT48 2nd Generation. That’s why, we really expecting you girls to be here in Japan. I’m really looking forward to see you, JKT48 2nd Generation candidates. Let’s meet in Japan, JKT48 2nd Generation candidates!”

The show was then continued with one of JKT48’s staff, Inao Jiro-san, selecting 31 out of 67 candidates who did go through and then will undergo the real final audition which will be held in Japan.

It has not been announced yet where and when the final audition will be held specifically. We might have to wait until the JKT48 official announce it via Twitter or Official Facebook Page.
