So this is a special mission on Hitam Putih :-P

    • Tomo says:

Sorry, this is the totally diffent topic from this thraed. But I found the name “Hitam Putih”. And I can’t stop to place my comments about the show. In the recent show with the guest, JKT48, they had a game to let the opposite side girl to know what is a word indicated on the paper board displayed in front of forehead. “Hiroshima” came. Then another side of the girl tried to illustrate the atomic bomb crowd. I was totally shocked. Is Hiroshima a sightseeing spot as the 1st famous atomic bombed city in the history of humankind? Hiroshima is famous as like as Tokyo or Kyoto, coz. that city was the atomicbombed? I can’t believe the comonsense of the producer and the director from that TV show. Do they want to laugh Japan ibcluding Hiroshima, as the only one country atomicbombed in the histry? I understand Melody’s new mission very well and hope everything gos well. Excited too much. But again, when I saw the game around the name “Hiroshima”. I trembled. Please understand.

      • Tomo says:

For me, at least for me, Hiroshima is the very precious place to pray WorldWide peace, without any words.

      • kurisu says:

Hey Tomo, I actually noticed this too.
The member you’re talking about is Beby of Team J, aged 15… I can’t say I had the same reaction as you, but I did have ‘a’ reaction… and my inner monologue was: Beby, I wish you hadn’t done that.

I know Hiroshima is of great importance to you… not to the same level of significance, as how we feel, those of us living outside of Japan… but we also take note of that devastation and the impact to our history books – and hope that no one would ever wish an Atomic bomb to be dropped ever again.

I’m strongly inclined to believe her action came out of ignorance – or just, being lost in the moment and being inexperienced (Beby has a dance background – not a media / television background). I don’t think she was meant to be vindictive or hostile to the Japanese people. (She’s actually known as one of the wota members, along side Shanju, in paying the most wrapped attention to the goings on within AKB48.)

Remember that she is young and she will make mistakes, hopefully you can forgive her – you can also write to her, that’s always been an open invitation to fans, explain your feelings if need be.

        • Megaaleon says:

Tomo-san, I agree with kurisu. Instead of “ignorance” it’s more like of the “clumsiness” of the tv crew who didn’t think ahead about this game that causing this. We are very, very sorry for this. Honestly, first thing that came to mind when we who live outside japan asked about hiroshima or nagasaki are “atomic bomb” and the crew of this tv show fail to see that, making this incident happen. Tomo-san, no one tryng to be ignorant here, please forgive them.

But sorry Tomo -san, your statement are also too much. I’m sure no one in their right mind want “to laugh Japan ibcluding Hiroshima, as the only one country atomicbombed in the histry” as you write in your statement. They are not that heartless. Once again, thousand apologies………

      • Tomo-san, I agree wholeheartedly that the inclusion of Hiroshima in the game was in poor taste, but I place the blame on the writers of Hitam Putih. It is evident that when Haruka was put in the position of providing the clue for Hiroshima, she was attempting to avoid acting out the atomic bombing. In the end, it fell to Beby to act it out.

If I were placed in the members’ position, I honestly would have mimicked the shape of the atomic bomb’s mushroom cloud as well. This is not out of spite or mockery, but because to the overwhelming majority of the population, they only know Hiroshima for that event. If I had described anything else, no one would know that the answer is Hiroshima. A large majority of Indonesians have little knowledge about world history because Indonesian education places little emphasis on it, so they are not as educated in the sensitivities of some historical issues. When I saw the answer card, I knew that this would be the only way to give a clue that the members can answer, and I immediately questioned the writers’ judgment.

Beby is my oshimen, so I naturally cringed upon seeing that segment. It is truly unfortunate that she or any other member had to be put in that position.

      • Angga says:

My deepest apologies Tomo-san, as you could see, the image that Beby could convey at that time is the general image kids in Indonesia were thought in their school about Hiroshima in the world history studies as one of the city who falls victim to the devastating effect of -pardon me to bring this term up again- atomic bomb.

I don’t particularly know how the current curriculum told about that historical moment in world history, but when I was a kid, I never knew the aftermath of it. Only when I grew up I actually knew about the aftermath and how devastating the effect of it and the sensitive issue surrounding it.

But that being said, I admit that the show fails to detect the sensitive issue surrounding it and for that, once again, my apology Tomo-san.

      • abaone94 says:

My apologies, Tomo-san. I personally felt guilty. Because, to be honest, when the word “Hiroshima” appeared, the first thing that stuck on my head was that “effort to make Japan surrender during WWII”. It’s almost like a general knowledge here in Indonesia since most of our history lessons – which our students are obliged to study from elementary to senior high – only mentions the city as the place where a nuclear bomb is dropped. Unfortunately nothing more. So, I have to say – again honestly – that junior high students like Beby have only that kind of image of what Hiroshima is.

The same comparison for us Indonesians is like mimicking Aceh with a tsunami. You wouldn’t do that if you had known how it happened and how it impacted the society.

Again, I must deliver my apologies for all Japanese people about this mistake. I’m sorry if I had offended you in any way on my explanations.

Please accept our apology, and please give our honors to those who died – or remained alive – after the horrendous event.

      • SegantengGhaida says:

        my apologies Tomo-san,
Beby is just 15 years old, maybe she have no idea to describe Hiroshima and unfortunately she just know Hiroshima from history book at their school and watching History Channel on TV, which only describe about f**kin World War II..
And I believe maybe she have never been to Hiroshima too.
        So, she have no idea.

Maybe this case is seems like a child in western country who were questioned about Islam, and he responded by acting like f**kin Terorrist  . Why? Because that boy just watching TV about 9/11, Afganistan, Iraq, etc. And unfortunately he dont know about Dubai, AbuDhabi, KL, Mecca, Jakarta, and kawaii moslem girls like Nabilah, Dhike, Melo, Naomi, Sinka, Rica, Viny, etc, ouw and my oshi Ghaida too  . So, the boy have no idea to answer that question.
Sorry, no offence to all my Moslem fellas. m(_._)m

Maybe I’ll try to send some twitter mention to HitamPutih about this case. At least I’ll try first, but I cant guaranty they will respon or not.

Hontou ni Gomennasai to all Japanese fellas. m(_._)m

I think your post is really off-topic.
I don’t think this is good place for your post about Hiroshima issue.
You should talk to the TV station.

Actually i only know about Hiroshima in history of world war 2 (atomic incident). Gomenasai Tomosan :( Its simply just a matter of lack of knowledge or less of information about Hiroshima city because i never go to Hiroshima so i know nothing about Hiroshima rather than what writen in history book or what history teacher teach in school. Strange case also happen with some foreign people who know Bali but don’t know where is Indonesia. I’m sure Beby doesn’t mean to hurt other people feeling. :)

  3. Tomo says:

Oh my :-P . Finally Melody starts to walk her royal road to reach her dream  . Unfortunately  I will not be able to attend her home-stay (oh..during the trip back to Narita Airport, please come and stay my house in Tokyo and play with my cute girls, sure please dance “KFC” with me

  4. my b says:

usulkan saja ke t7 misi jkt48 ke kota tersebut. supaya mengenal hal2 selain itu (sori sengaja tdk pakai inggris)

  5. justin lee says:

If she hurts you, you are too sensitive , so hard to please! You know, it’s just a game. This is the matter which the earth men knew, Hiroshima=atomic bomb,Many people seem to think so. I don’t think Beby is wrong for thinking this way….

  6. benimaru says:

me thought that she was going to transfered to AKB

but it actually more interesting and more bigger than that; she became an AMBASSADOR for export-import business 8) 8)

preety neat for such small figurine..

as for the hidrogen bomb issue; me can guarantee you 100%, that who ever mimicking the hidrogen bomb HAD NO INTENTION TO MOCK other country history..

it was just a game, and those who try to gave the clues on those games were merely kids/teenager that don’t have any idea about world true history (they don’t even know about Indonesia history..)

so mr. Tomo, on behalf of that TV station creative crew clumsiness; me apologize sincerely..

and for the members misconception about Hiroshima, me begging you, couldn’t you spare a few pardon for such an act?

  7. Seganteng Ghaida says:

    My apologies Tomo-san :(
May god bless to all war victims. And enough for all horrible things.
I’m sorry to all fellas, let’s back to topic.

  8. justin lee says:

You know, maybe we could take a survey to see how that works for everyone. Pick a random person of the street, say ‘Hiroshima, ’ and they’ll think ’atomic bomb .’
    :( :( :(

I would like to apologize deeply and try to summarize the disturbance progress that I caused in this thread for the JKT48 fans worldwide and for Japanese fans. At first I must be so sorry that I posted the comment that was far a away from this topic telling us that Melody became the ambassador of Okayama prefecture’s fruits and will visit Okayama and experience the home-stay. I think the mission was ordered in one TV program. But I wrote the Hiroshima’s atomic bomb issue on this thread. Because I saw the gesture game in the TV program. The a girl at one side displayed a paper cardboard telling some Japanese words and names of cities, such as Tokyo. One girl put the board showing “Hiroshima”. The oppsite girl must tell what it is a girl at another side A girl ( some ones on JKT48Suff taught me that it was Beby) She illustarated “Atomich Bomb Crowd”. I was shocked when I saw that. So I wrote my objection against the people thinking Hiroshima just as the place where atomic bombed. Please don’t misunderstand. I never blame Beby. As I mentioned, I criticised “I can’t believe the producer and the directors from that TV show”. I have to say that I must send my protest to a TV station, not to comment in JKT48Stuff. I sware that I never try to post any comments which is separated from each particur thread. So please don’t desort me.

      • SegantengGhaida says:

  16. abaone94 says:

This is very much taking down two birds with one stone :-D One for her career as an idol, one for her education (and supposedly future career). Melody was an agricultural student to begin with, so this is her thing after all. One may say that this is a good step towards her goal as a Minister of Agriculture.

Pretty much, this is the mission that is contained on the black box. But one can only wonder when did she depart; it could be that she’s already in Japan right now (watching Tokyo Dome concert, perhaps), or later after the theater direct selling. She never really unveils her whereabouts on Twitter, so it’s hard to “keep a track” on her 8) (feels like an MI6 agent)

Taking from the article, I reckon she will spend a lot amount of time on Japan for the remaining of this month. I wonder who will replace her as the center when she’s away?

I hope she will also do other things there with AKB. Although the busy schedule don’t seem to allow it…

  17. Rara says:

Wah congratulation melody ^^ that’ll be awesome. I’ll look for it ♥

  18. Annie Tjia says:

Well, sometimes we can’t expect TV show producer and its crew to consider raising reaction like this if they do some mistakes. I also cringed when “Hiroshima” was on the board, since it’s be obvious the member would think about the bomb. So please just be calm about this case. Tomo-san had the right to feel upset, but we sould try to chill so it won’t cause any commotion in this forum. And please people, prevent using bad words, will you? No matter even tough you censored the word you still used it.

Well back to the main topic, we should congrats Melody. It’s awesome chance for her and JKT48’s promotion in Japan. I think there will be more of JKT48 members to go to Japan. From her tweets, Ghaida said about her plan to go to Japan for her thesis. Hopefully it’ll be recorded by tv channel, if not JKT48 Missions. Wow!! JKT48 is gonna rock. :)
