A circle expanding through Dad’s guitar

“My father, who loves The Beatles, gave me a guitar as gift.” In her second year of middle school, she started practicing how to play the guitar because of her father’s influence; she inherited the guitar and musical scores he used during university. She says she practices when she has time or wants to change her mood. As fan of American artist Bruno Mars, she practices imitating his songs, asking her father about difficult parts.

“I have little time to play the guitar since I started being active as JKT member,” she says with a small bitter laugh.

At school, she often talks about music with her classmates. “Some friends say they started playing the drums or formed a band because of me.” She adds that she’d like to form a band and perform live with her friends one day. Dad’s seasoned guitar is good too, but “when I get better I want to buy a white guitar by myself and perform live with it,” she said with her eyes sparkling.
