Inside the Theater

Show-2 would start from 4:00pm. I and Joss had Super Far tickets, Angga and our friends had got their tickets by queuing Waiting List (Editor’s Note: Actually, Me and RyanD failed to get in ). It was more crowded than the day before yesterday, and the standing room was also full of fans. I and Joss sit in the 6th row, just at the center of stage. Our friends were in back row or in the standing room.

In the theater I saw many Japanese, maybe more than 30 people. And I also saw about 5 Japanese who put on “Happi coat”, with a logo “Hokkaido”. Are they from Hokkaido local government? They are going to do something with JKT48, like Okayama case???

There were some girls fans group, too. Next to me, there was a group with 7 girls. I talked to one of them, and she said she was a fan of AKB48 previously but now she loves JKT48.

In this show-2 today, Rena, who appeared to HS event yesterday, would perform. Akicha already performed in show-1, but would not perform in show-2 because she had to go to recording studio.
Here, 16 members were:

Rica, Ayana, Melody, Nabilah, Sonya, Kinal, Rena, Gaby, Dhike, Delima, Haruka, Sendy, Ghaida, Shania, Frieska, Cindy.

Overture

The sense of unity was awesome. From the beginning, the show livened up. The number of Cyalume were obviously more than the day before yesterday. Joss was also shouting with swinging his cyalume.

Nagai Hikari (Cahaya Panjang)

Solo part by Haruka. It’s already usual, right? Their performance was full of brightness. Costume fit members’ body, it reminded me that Indonesian girls are very slim and have good figure.
Members’ expression were so cute, I felt warm inside.

Squall no Aida ni (Di Tengah Hujan Badai Tiba-Tiba)

Kinal’s performance made me feel comfortable at any position. She always paid attention to surroundings, not only performing members but also every fans in the theater. Truly, she is a captain.
And KKS, back dancers, were cool enough in the end of the song.

JK Nemurihime (Gadis SMA Putri Tidur)

Why? Why are there 2 Melodys? I was surprised… If Melody and Frieska spotlighted, they looked two peas in a pod. My only way to distinguish them was to see their tall and the detail of costume. I thought Frieska was quiet girl, but until now did I misunderstand? Or she improved her expression well? Her performance compared favorably with any other members.

Kimi ni Au Tabi Koi o Suru (Jatuh Cinta Setiap Bertemu Denganmu)

This is my favorite song. I saw their performance of this song so many times on YouTube, Rica and Sendy came forward to center together and sang the chorus of 2nd verse. They are almost same tall, looks really good friends. I have ever seen a video that Sendy and Rica said “In JKT48, we started our carrier from nothing” Although Sendy had many experience on Dangdut stages, she could say it modestly. Their performance made me remember her words, I was touched. If Rica and Sendy fans in Japan see this, they cannot stop being touched. Hahaha.

MC-1

Self introduction, and the theme was “What special do you cook, and what do you name it?”

Rica
Before Rica said something, suddenly Melody said “I’m sure it’s coffee!” Fans burst into laughter. Rica made a bitter smile. Rica said she would cook “Rendang”, super spicy.
*rendang : Simmered beef meat, spicy.

Ayana
Onigiri (Rice ball). Its inside is Kurma.
*Kurma :a kind of nut, sweetened. Indonesia imports it from Middle East.

Melody
Using heart shaped chicken, she would cook “Sate Cinta” (Love Satay)

Sonya
She would make bread, with spicy tuna inside.

Kinal
Kinal is Shania-Oshi. She would cook “Jengkol”, named “For my Oshi.”

*Jengkol : Strong smell (Especially when urinate…) and contains Djenkolic Acid (Methylenebiscysteine) which “mildly” toxic that can cause acute renal failure in some worst cases.

(Editor’s Note: Can happen very randomly. Think of it as a toxic delicacy as the beans version of puffer fish, although it is not as poisonous as puffer fish. Or you can think of it as the beans Russian Roulette since there’s no certain way to know whether you can eat it safely or not. At times, you can eat it okay, at times if you are super unlucky enough, you will get either spasm or renal failure.)

Rena
In her self introduction, she suddenly shouted “Say Haa!” like Kinal. Fans burst into laughter. She would make Popcorn or Chiki(local snack) with Bakso taste. She said “should be delicious, right?” Fans said “Never (Nggak)”

Gaby
Ice cream but boiled.

Dhike
Surabi, for Frieska the taste is “ice”, and for Delima “powder”
*I heard Dhike said “bedak”, means “powder”

Delima

Haruka
She shouted “Kalian cinta aku? (Do you love me?)”, and fans shouted “Nggak! (No)”. It’s already usual? Then she said “Okay, I go home…”
She would mix all of Indonesian foods. Members and fans said “Nggak mau (I don’t want)” She said “It’s Okay, I eat all alone”

Sendy
She would cook fried bean sprouts with “rujak” taste. She said “if I open my restaurant someday, don’t forget to come!”
*rujak : Spicy Indonesian fruit salad.

Ghaida
Cireng, and she would name it “Can Cin Men”, means “Cantik Cinta Member (Beautiful, Love, Member )”.
*Cireng : Aci goreng. Like white rice cake.

Shania
Rendang with spicy bakso

Frieska
Tahu Asin
She shouted “Asik Asik Joss!”, then fans burst into laughter. Does Frieska have a character to play with such words? Fans thought like that, I think.
*Tahu asin :salty tofu
*Asik Asik Joss :the call in joget Caesar.

Cindy
Soup with living things. Such as Shrimp, fish, frog, rabbit. Shania interrupted “How about soup cockroach?”

Kuroi Tenshi (Malaikat Hitam)　Melody, Kinal, Rica

In this performance, 3 members’ glint in eyes were impressive! Melody’s eyes expressed “strong”, Kinal’s “Belief” and Rica’s “elegant”.

Heart Gata Virus (Virus Tipe Hati) Sonya, Ayana, Rena

I felt Ayana had become very mature. Her atmosphere became similar to her sister’s?
Had Rena changed the make-up? Was it Japanese style? She also looked more mature than I imagined from YouTube

Renai Kinshi Jourei (Aturan Anti Cinta) Haruka, Delima, Gaby

Delima was so good at expressing herself. She is one of members who made great improvements, right? She was shining because she has a good figure.
Geby, she is truly almighty. At any position she was composed.

Tsundere! Nabilah, Cindy, Frieska

I was worried about Cindy… Of course she performed powerful Tsundere. I didn’t know why I felt so but she didn’t stand out so much. Was it because other members made improvements? Cindy, Go for it!

Manatsu no Christmas Rose (Mawar Natal Musim Panas) Shania, Ghaida, Dhike, Sendy

Fun, brightness, full throttle! Dhike had her hairstyle changed, became mature. KKS’s dance was so sharp, they would not need stay in back dancer position any longer.

MC-2

The theme was “Memory in HS event”
Sonya
A fan, his hand was so cold and trembling. He sang a song in front of me, but his voice was also shaking. I appreciated his courage.

Rena
Yesterday, I directly came here from airport but I was late. My fans had been waiting for me until 9 o’clock. I cosplayed Alice in wonderland. I was sorry for my late arrival, so I held a special talk show in the theater after HS event.

Kinal
I wore Yukata for HS event. I put on bakiak instead of Japanese Geta.
*bakiak :Like Japanese Geta, but Indonesian original.

Melody
A fan sang a song with his guitar, his song title was “Melody terindah (Melody, the most beautiful)”. His song was cool, but when I talked with him he was funny.
He : Melody, you’re short…
Mel : Yeah, I’m short.
He : But, beautiful…..

*He sang a song in front of Melody. Good job! Cool!

Switch

These 2 songs reminded me “Showa” age. Fans Mix chant was maximum.
*Sorry, I was so busy to chant that it was difficult to take a memo about the show. Hahaha.

Hikouki Gumo (Jejak Awan Pesawat)

The heat in the theater stayed maximum. Fans sang this song together with member, spun their Cyalumes. Color of inside the theater turned rainbow. It was so fun!

MC-3

Suddenly Haruka Shouted “Asik Asik”, then fans followed her “Joss!”. Already usual here? The theme was “unforgettable memory in show”.

Haruka
When I was in AKB, I fell down from the stage.

Delima
I slipped up on the stage.

Haruka
You guys, don’t laugh at us even though we fell down. We are ashamed, you know..

Kinal
When our show in temporary theater, we couldn’t do well so I cried when we sang “Boku no sakura”.

Frieska
You know, Boku no Sakura is a song that our expression should be serious. But, while we sang it, Sonya had ever smiled from ear to ear. Unbelievable!

Sendy
Tenshi no Shippo was an unit song that motivated me to lose my weight.

Rica
When Kagami, my button burst opened.

Cindy
Gaby’s energy was like a horse.

Ano Koro no Sneakers (Sneaker Waktu Itu)

Nostalgic song, their performance reminded me sunset in my childhood.

“Encore”

A core fan led encore-call. He started with shouting in Japanese, “Minnaaaa! (Everybody)”

JKT Sanjou! (JKT Datang!)

Japanese fans already know JKT48 style MIX, right?
“Five, Four, three, two, one, Go! Urya-oi! Urya-oi!” It was so cool! Awesome. I was moved to tears.

Namida no Shinkokyuu (Nafas Dalam Air Mata)

Oogoe Diamond (Teriakan Berlian)

Fans respect Japanese original one, they shouted “Suki!” while in JKT48’s lyrics it is ”Suka!”. Fans shout “Suki!” and ”Suka!” were mixed. We can hear that kind of mix only in Indonesia.
The show was finished with a feeling of members and fans were “united”.

Conclusion

It was my first time to watch team J’s show. I was not able to compare it with their previous show, but it was an awesome, perfect, and the best show. They performed as one, but each member grasped the opportunity to appeal their identity. In MC session, they made good timing for interchange, I didn’t feel any distance between the stage and the hall.

In several rows in front of me, there was a Japanese guys group. In the beginning of show, they were silent. But the show made them give applause at the end. Anyway, I was full of happy feeling.

And if local fans see us, Japanese fans, they like to smile on us. I feel that local fans are fully proud of JKT48, as if they are saying “You see? JKT48 has already grown up like this!” to whom came from mother country of 48G.

I do recommend overseas fans who have not watched RKJ by team J nor BnT by team K3 yet to come and watch them. I’m sure you love JKT48 more and more.

And I will be there in November, again!
