Halloween Night Dangdut Version

Angga

Just another lazy author for JKT48Stuff whom mainly working with translations and sometimes writing articles about JKT48 with an obvious grammar problem. Was living his life as a JKT48 DD until...

So now you’re asking for original single?! Original single means all of the songs (in that said single) are original and not just one or two.
In general, royalty for a song is paid to the lyricist and the music writer. Yasusu will never ever let other people to take his role as the lyricist. Because he gets his royalty as the lyricist for ALL 48/46G songs. Full Stop.

Now what about the option of him (Yasusu) as lyricist working together with Indonesian music writer to write an original song for JKT? Well, it’s not impossible as long as either of them speak his counterpart language. I mean, either Yasusu speaks Indonesian or the Indonesian music writer speaks Japanese or they can use interpreter or just speak English. But with these options, there’ll be other questions to address: Will Yasusu grant the inevitable same request from SNH48 management to work together with local Chinese music writer?

Please try to stand in Yasusu’s shoes (think from their perspective) for once.

    • Angga says:

For Christ-sake Gomi, you just repeated what I’m saying with something longer than it needed to be.

Why forces everything when the resources isn’t enough? The “local company” workforce (as we know it, there are actually more than one driving forces behind them) for the project, both natives and foreigners, does have more than enough talent to produce one if I can be honest here.

We are talking 3 to 4 years of waiting here, mate, not a mere a year or two. If he can’t let go his position as a lyricist due to not getting enough royalty for the brand itself, ghost writers are another viable alternatives.

Inevitable same request from SNH? It’s business risk mate, you expand, you face the risk. You can’t face the risk and wants to stay in your comfort zone, you better go hide in someone else anus and become an everlasting hemorrhoid.

Please try to stand in OUR shoes for once. Three years mate, three agonizing horrendous years.

I apologize if I sounded rude, but I’ve had enough standing in theirs shoes for more than what I should’ve been and you struck my nerves exactly at the wrong time, at the wrong place.

      • Gomi-toshi says:

“you better go hide in someone else anus and become an everlasting hemorrhoid”

It’s not your fault for using “Angga’s words”. It must be someone else close to you for teaching you to use such words. I hope it’s not your parents. I believe they’re good people.

Anyway, please read this carefully: THE MAJORITY of Indonesian general public DO NOT CARE whether JKT sing original song or not BECAUSE THEY DO NOT LISTEN to 48Gs.
If JKT operate in Japan, they’ll of course get their original songs. Korean Idol Groups also release translated singles/albums in Japanese market. The main important key is: A DIFFERENT MARKET!

Don’t worry, I won’t get provoked to reply your comment with “Angga’s words”.

        • Angga says:

Don’t bring my parents to our discussion, they got nothing to do with this. How much more childish can you be aside from playing “Yo Mamma” card?

And no, that’s not “Angga’s Words”, since I believe I don’t need any royalty for it and I don’t believe I founded the generally used terms of “anus” and “hemorrhoid”.

          And read this too:

The MAJORITY of Indonesian general public DON’T EVEN BUY THEIR ALBUM nor do they understand what’s going on with the freakishly young girls prancing on stage.

You want an everyday Joe’s Indonesian to buy a recording album? Tough luck mate, read JETRO market research about piracy in Indonesia and educate yourself. I was once involved in the Indonesian recording industry and I understand very well how tough it is to live on just legal album sales.

It doesn’t matter what the market is if no one buying your album aside from one who actually understand what’s going on with the group. You can’t play the ad-hominem card for business mate, you just can’t, it’s stupid.

Who bought JKT’s album? The fans, that’s it. For what? For the handshake tickets. Does it work? Yes. If it works, why do they need an original one? Because we need one! Three years is more than enough for them to get their own identity, for US to get our OWN identity. The same applies too to SNH one day, they need it too, not just us.

I’m not here to provoked you, I’m here to tell you straight what I have in mind.

          • Gomi-toshi says:

“The MAJORITY of Indonesian general public DON’T EVEN BUY THEIR ALBUM”
“Who bought JKT’s album? The fans, that’s it. For what? For the handshake tickets. Does it work? Yes.”

All of your points above that I quoted only serve to be ALL THE MORE REASON to not give JKT original single/album.
Why give JKT original single/album if the majority of Indonesian general public do not buy single/album? Just give them their sister groups’ songs.
Why give JKT original single/album if JKT Wota will still buy the singles/album for the handshake ticket/2-shot/other gimmicks? Just give them their sister groups’ songs.

“If it works, why do they need an original one? Because we need one! Three years is more than enough for them to get their own identity, for US to get our OWN identity.”

It’s merely your emotional frustration that surely does not represent all JKT fans. JKT48 ALREADY HAVE their own identity since the beginning of their creation. Their existence are very SPECIAL and CANNOT be reduced to mere original songs. Please stop your false belief that JKT48 will only get their own identity only AFTER they got their own original songs.
The “identity card” sentimentality will NOT work and is too weak a reason to convince AKS.

JKT original songs will come when other foreign authors, movie producers, and singers also release their original productions for their respective fans in Indonesia.

          • Angga says:

It’s not a merely “frustration”, it’s a fact that I can no longer ignored.

The fact that it works so well FOR the fans and the fact that people like you who think that it’s fine to stay on the comfort zone is what bugging me. And that’s why, you’ll stay an hemorrhoid in my eyes.

JKT48 ALREADY HAVE their own identity since the beginning of their creation. Their existence are very SPECIAL and CANNOT be reduced to mere original songs.

Unfortunately, as a whole group, they don’t have any. Sorry to say, but right now, no matter what their achievement is, no matter how much I love them, they are just a group singing a not so chirpy badly translated version songs of other groups. You may deny it all you want, but that’s the fact and it won’t change if disillusioned people like you won’t wake up. Wipe your own buttocks for once.

False belief? I simply stand corrected with my opinion and that’s that. You can fuck yourself over if it’s not up to your palate and vice versa if that even means a consolation for people like you.

And oh el-oh-el, who are you trying to say to convince AKS here? Didn’t I already told you that I did this to tell you what I have in mind? Jumping to conclusion too much, aren’t we?

Now, as I said before, go fuck yourself as I will do too since you didn’t convince me enough with your disillusioned rationale.

            Kthxbye.

  2. Gomi-toshi says:

“You may deny it all you want, but that’s the fact and it won’t change if disillusioned people like you won’t wake up”.

JKT48 do not have their own original songs: A FACT.
JKT48 do not have their own identity because they do not have original songs: AN OPINION.

“Now, as I said before, go fuck yourself as I will do too since you didn’t convince me enough with your disillusioned rationale”.

I have no idea how to fuck myself. That’s illogical.
    How about your female relatives?

    • Angga says:

Listen, Hemorrhoid, that’s the fact, they are a group singing a not so chirpy badly translated version songs of other groups. You want to deny that? Seriously?

I have no idea how to fuck myself. That’s illogical.

Well, I don’t swing that way, but perhaps you are, so here , aren’t I nice? Say your thank you now.

      • Gomi-toshi says:

Let me state which’s FACT and which’s OPINION once more:

        FACT:
        – JKT48 sing mostly translated songs. JKT48 have a song titled “JKT48” which is not a translated work, lyric-wise, of course. (You know about this fact, but you would probably pretend not to know.)

        OPINIONS:
        – JKT48 sing badly translated songs of their sister groups (Badly translated or not, that’s an OPINION and people including you are entitled to it)
        – JKT48 do not have their own identity unless they got their own original songs. (Angga’s opinion)
        – JKT48 do already have their own identity regardless of the existence of their original songs. (My opinion)

“Well, I don’t swing that way, but perhaps you are, so here , aren’t I nice? Say your thank you now.”

        Your female relatives, please.

        • Angga says:

          – JKT48 sing badly translated songs of their sister groups (Badly translated or not, that’s an OPINION and people including you are entitled to it)

Oh Hemorrhoid, how can be more disillusioned are you? The translation for most of the song is so badly translated it brings tears to me.

JKT48 do not have their own identity unless they got their own original songs. (Angga’s opinion)

How do one identify with a group? Their songs. And what is their songs again? Er….we are going round and round and round again here.

JKT48 do already have their own identity regardless of the existence of their original songs. (My opinion)

If you are talking about each individuals, yes. But as a group, no.

          Your female relatives, please.

Oh boy, here we go again with “relatives” be it parents or anything cards. Can’t you find anything more insulting than that? You started to bored me now, Hemo. Come on now, I know you can do better than that.

  3. Alan says:

I don’t know whether the original post means that the author thouht the dangdut version was bad or not,

but fom what I heard, I like it..

    • Angga says:

      I do like it.

And my post means that the local workforce have more than enough talent (even though they need to resort to “outsourcing” it to others local arranger) to do their own bidding.

  4. Jill says:

I’m proud to say that I’m already addicted to it (HN dangdut ver).

Anyway, I’m kinda curious. Why the management decided to make HN Dangdut version? Is it because they wanted to tap into Indonesian current music trend which is Dangdut koplo-something? Which market are they targeting? The public? Even though I personally like HN Dangdut ver. but I mainly agree with Angga that they should only focus to JKT core fans because they are the only one who buy the single.

    • Angga says:

      Um, I don’t think that’s my point Jill :D

In fact, I’m really-really glad they decided to do this Dangdut version. It shows people that locals still can do with the arrangement of an “idol” song, be it in Dangdut or whatever. All they need now is trust from the upper echelons that locals can do it.

And if lyrics have to come from them, hire a ghost writer. Don’t make people wait too long.

      • Jill says:

After giving it some more thought, I think what you’re saying makes a lot of sense, Angga.
The only reason the management made the Dangdut version was simply to show to the upper echelons in Japan that the locals (Dentsu, etc) are capable to make their own arrangement regardless of its genre (whether it’s Dangdut or not, it doesn’t matter).
It’s a really good start to, someday, have JKT original songs without the involvement from Akimoto and the Japanese management at all in the future. We should be independent for JKT’s sake.
I also agree that it’s stupid to even think that the local management ever considering to tap into Indonesian current music trend (Dangdut koplo) in order to reach the general public. Silly me for even entertaining that thought in the first place. I’m sorry for that.
Anyway, thank you for the response, Angga.

        • Angga says:

Well um, I honestly think that their main aim is still actually business though in the end of the day since everything still had to go through the upper guys

          • Rinaldy-hutapea says:

My first comment here (thanks to HN Dangdut version)

Now I’m confused. If their main aim is still actually business in the end of the day while on the other hand using your statement that the only JKT single buyer are JKT core fans, why did they have to take the business risk for making the Dangdut version too then?
JKT core fans are the only buyer of JKT single, right? They’re pretty content with the current flow (without the Dangdut version). Or is it the management do not think that the only JKT single buyer not limited to JKT core fans but the general public also? Please pardon me for prying,

          • Angga says:

Well, I don’t know their ulterior motives in releasing this version that I love so much, but from my perspective, releasing this version means broader chance for them for stage shows which I think is one of their main income.

“JKT fans” doesn’t really mean (only) core fans though.

  5. Brad says:

for nearly three years since i’ve known this site, never i’ve seen angga lose his cool this much lel.

i think hemo-chan there crossed the line a little bit to make angga so mad.

oh for hemo-chan, i think you are new so you don’t know how people in jkt48stuff train of thoughts. i knew them since they were starting from a thread in s48 and they were always the one who calmed people down when it came to original single/song. telling them to be patient and let the japan team do their work for many years.

so for you to told him to stand in other people’s shoes, that’s way too much lel.

  6. Tomo says:

Sorry for my long silence. Well, I would like to know the reason why the 4 front members were chosen :-o For me, they are very ” feminie”.! The new direction of JKT48? Ha Ha. Nice it is:lol:

    • Angga says:

Welcome back Tomo-san! I’m sure Sendy because well, she’s good at dangdut. Chikarina for her Siti Rinayanti alter-ego. I dunno the criteria for Dhike and Naomi tho.

  7. moto_f says:

    for JKT48’s original singel, visit http://www.jkt48.php :-P

  8. Fujiwara says:

well for some reason . .the HN dangdut ver is more popular than the senbatsu sang ver among the fans :-P :-P
i like it better too .. .especially when they pronounced the H.A..EL.O.WE. E. E. EN

To Angga .. . keep your cool bro .. .haters are just gonna hate,. . .i support your reasoning too. . .JKT48 need an original song just for the sake of it .. .3 years is far to long for them and not having any original single just for them

did anyone notice JKT48 currently have 3 ver of HN .. .lol
    the original senbatsu ver
    the dangdut ver
    the english ver 8)

  9. hanicha says:

Hello. Probably my third post here.
Please allow me to say I like dangdut version of halloween night. and please allow me to give some random facts~ (OOT):

    JKT48 Operation Team
Producer: Harris Thajeb ; Kaz Tsukaguchi
    General Manager : Jiro Inao
    Creative Director : Toshiaki Gomi

Oh I support JKT48 to have original single asap. Or at least i hope it would happen before Melody graduate…

    • Angga says:

Doesn’t have to be single, even one song is enough (for now), right?

      • hanicha says:

Yes I can agree with one original song if AKS thinks that to start producing a single (main song+coupling) is too hard now. JKT can cover other sister groups’ songs or whatever songs for the coupling.

saya pakai bahasa aja ya, ndak lancar nih inggrisnya. HN dangdut, pertama kali dengar saya langsung Ketawa. Bukan ketawa karena jelek tapi lucu, dan entah kenapa ditelinga enak didengar. Saya bukan fans JKT48 dalam artian suka banget, enggak. Mungkin lebih mirip kayak pengamat, ceilah pengamat. Miris emang kalo dengar lagu-lagu JKT48, musiknya kadang keren-keren, cuma ya sulit dicerna. Bentar nahan ketawa dulu. Dicekik selama 3,5 abad. Tapi tolong jangan salah paham, saya tau JKT karna saya suka jejepangan heheh. Buat HN dangdut saya suka, sekarang lagi nimang-nimang mau beli hahah. Goblok, dengernya lagu rock downloadtan malah beli lagu dangdut JKT hahah. Tapi apa daya saya anaknya Indonesia banget sih hahah. Sekian dari saya terimakasih. Info dong beli lagunya dimana ya?

Sendy has been asked to sing Dangdut in many TV shows. And my happy surprise is that Sendy sung Fortune Cookie in a TV show. And she sung Heavy Rotaion also in a TV show. Then, Chikano san tried to sing Dangdut. And then Halloween Night Dangdut version came up. If I can call this “Dangdut Approach” by JOT to many Indonesian audience who are not interested in JKT48, is this direction effective to expand JKT48 awarenes among them and can penetrate into Indonesian pop music lovers?

  12. Block says:

Sendy’s hip and shoulder shake are at pro level.
Naomi’s hip still needs improvement, but her shoulder shake is good.
Meanwhile Chikachan and Dhike still needs more practice for both hip and shoulder.
come on girls.. dangdut means shake.. not necessarily sexy shake though, u just need to be more “luwes” 8)

hahaha… yes.. my eyes seems to stuck on their hip & shoulder only…

  13. Annie Tjia says:

It’s been a long time since I visited this site. I was actually surprised about Halloween night because I thought it’s not a new single. But having a dangdut ver, it surprised me more because I actually feel it sounds better! Maybe because the theme kinda fitted Dangdut, ya know, party-kind of music?

For Gomi-goshi, he/she asked us to try Yasusu’s shoes. How about we ask Yasusu to try our shoes. Following your idol’s growing process without stoping to hope they would ever sing their own original single only to find it so far from reach because we can’t be sure when the time will come. What makes us different from SNH48? Aren’t our idol good enough to have one? I don’t understand much about market and everything but I, like Ka Angga and all other fans have been patiently waiting for three years just to listen they sing their own song. Could Yasusu wait that long?

But well, I apreaciate his/her opinion though it made Ka Angga ‘popped’. Ahaha. Rare moment, but please don’t do that often because he’s kinda scary. :D

  14. Hella Fitzgerald says:

It’s such a good song and it’s yet another time when I’ve thought the JKT version was much better than the AKB one. It’d be nice if they were to begin a tradition of including dangdut versions on their CDs like they did with the English ones. Now I just need them to make it easier to buy their music from overseas…

  15. Rakin says:

HN Dangdut Version… I thought it exist because of Siti Rinayanti…
