Okayama University Students React to JKT48

Melody Nurramdhani Laksani has been reappointed to her position as Okayama Prefecture fruit ambassador, The Sanyo Shimbun reports. The ceremony was officiated by Ryuta Ibaragi, Governor of Okayama Prefecture, and attended by fellow JKT48 members Nabilah Ratna Ayu, Riskha Fairunissa, and Ratu Vienny Fitrilya.

Okayama Prefecture, known for its harvest of white peaches and muscat grapes, exported 400 kg of the fruits to Jakarta during the previous season and now wants to double that amount. Various supermarkets in Jakarta will hold a special “Okayama Fair” for these fruits between July 18 and 27.

Following the ceremony, the four members also visited Okayama University’s Faculty of Agriculture for a tour of the facilities. They were met with enthusiasm by students, who posted their reactions on Twitter.

JKT48 came to our uni, and to the dept. of Agriculture of all places! I don’t know the members, but seeing idols was really exciting, and I could taste the typical university student’s “Let’s Party Yeah LMAO” style lol
