Jadilah Nekad III Report – Whisper It into My Ear
This time, we have a lot of guest for the Jadilah Nekad III program. If you are wondering what is Jadilah Nekad III, it’s a special program for overseas fans where they come to Jakarta to enjoy JKT48 Handshake Event with us, local fans. We’ve held the same event for two times in a row before, and this is our third time. We’ve reached our highest ever attendees with 5 people. Too bad our regular participant, Mt.Joss, can’t attend the event this time.
Okay, to cut the story short, let’s begin my report for the Jadilah Nekad III program!
Day One
The rain poured so hard at Saturday, flooding is everywhere. Some of our contributors as well as friends already arrived at f(X) to meet our guests for Party/Karaoke sessions. I was nearly left out due to there’s no way my car can survive the flooding if I forced myself to go. Lucky for me, the rain subsided at noon and I was able to grab a taxi to meet the guys at f(X).
Arrived there at around 7:45 PM and met the guys at a local restaurant. I was talking with a long time friend of mine about JKT48 when I realized that sitting just a table next to us is Ve, Rachel, and Vanka. Dang, I wish I can just kill myself with all the embarrassment I’ve felt that time.
After teasing Wotaliano -who unfortunately can’t attend this event- that we sat just a few meters away from Ve, we decided to regroup at a pretty well-known international chain coffee shop downstairs.
Not a long wait until Japarta and Da-Chi arrived. I was pretty confused why there’s only two out of five participants, but then Japarta explained that the others will come tomorrow at the HS event due to scheduling conflict. Okay then, time to roll for a partaaaay.
We decided to visit the local karaoke booth and have a lot of fun there with 48 groups songs in both Indonesian and Japanese as well as some 90’s Japanese songs ranging from Mr. Children to L’arc~en~Ciel. The peak for that night was the Koisuru Fortune Cookie dance-along party at the karaoke booth.
Here are some of our memoir for our activity in a gallery. Due to some work-related issues, we had to forced majeurely censored a few pretty faces
1 AM in the morning, and our first day ended with smile on both our guests and us. Let’s fast forward to the 2nd day!
Day Two
Some of our contributors already arrived at early morning. I came at around 9 AM and met Japarta, Da-Chi, as well as our newest entry of guest, nicknamed Ducatiranda. We waited for a couple of minutes until Da-Chi able to grab his 20-something photopack and we stroll around Balai Kartini looking for a place where we can rest our legs especially after I experienced the most annoying thing I’ve ever felt in terms of Online Ticketing.
I think Pitra already told a story about the online ticketing in his report. To make it short, we, those who bought the tickets online, will have to manually redeem our tickets using our ID at one single booth with one single staff with no barcode reader (no one cares about saving the trees anymore?). So yeah, online ticketing is pretty much useless now compared to before. I dunno how they got this idea of a completely obsolete system, but that’s what happened back then.
Back to the story then
After asking some of the securities around, we found a pretty nice and cozy restaurant to rest our legs. With all things done, we decided to make this place our HQ for this event. After waiting for all the contributors to find the place, Da-Chi left us to begin his first handshake session with no other being than the celestial being we all know as Veranda.
After a few while, Da-Chi is back along with Okinavva, a sudden participant to our troupe. Okinavva is actually not a JKT48 fans; but in the middle of a break from his work -where he was sent to Indonesia-, he finds that the handshake event is currently on going and decided to took some pictures of it. Da-Chi, with his warm attitude decided to make Okinavva tag along with us.
As expected, a sudden entry to our troupe make things a lot more exciting. In just mere minutes, Okinavva got hold of a lot of tickets as well as promise to help him got a chance to watch the theater on Tuesday.
Since I bought only 3 tickets for Shan and it was for the 5th session, I decided to just wait at the restaurant while taking care of our contributors as well as our guests belonging.
Da-Chi came back from another session with Ve and he was so happy with his talks with Ve. Again, Ve remember him but she finds it difficult to remember his name. Da-Chi told Ve how to pronounce and remember his name at this session. Meanwhile, Okinavva who was so shocked when he saw Ghaida’s photo and went : “The level is so high!” -trance, finished his session with Ghaida and scored her a magnificent 8 out of 10.
At this moment Japarta also finished his session with Rica, but I’ll leave that to Japarta’s report in the near future
Mine turn came and I went ahead for the fifth session with Shan. There was a big improvement on the queue system, back to the old Yuuhi one but with a much better preparation and space. Unfortunately, the more JKT48 get well known, the more people came resulting in a very crowded environment, lack of oxygen, and hot, very hot closed room. For the next event, it might be better for them to prepare even a bigger venue.
Some people noted that the differences between the event in Japan and Indonesia is so big that is like heaven and earth. But to be honest, our guests who some are regular attendees of AKB48 event (They skipped this time AKB48 event for JKT48) noted that JKT48 almost make things perfect for the queuing system if not for space and time constraint by comparing that AKB48 HS event usually took two days with a lot larger venue (and they changed the queue system so often, the same like JKT). They still hated how hot and how long the damn queue was, though.
So to make it short and to continue the story, the grass will always be greener on the other side of the fence.
I gave one of my Shan’s ticket to Japarta, so I left with two tickets now. Met Shan, and gave her a Hello as usual. Our talks? I tried my best to do my mission of saying hellos from friends of mine to her, but then again, with 20 seconds, I failed to say B’s Hello to her to let her know that her numero uno US citizen fans is still there along with Ebi48. As a side note, I’m very happy to see the securities are now equipped with stopwatch so there will be no corrupted times.
Back to HQ when I find another one of our guests that have just arrived from Bangkok, Mr. Adik. Mr. Adik, who is actually a friend of Rena’s father, first not think much about JKT48 and just congratulate her father for his daughter achievement. It was not until he’s doing a research of comparing Thailand and Indonesia in the perspective of many things, such as infrastructure and marketing availability, that his interest in JKT48 is growing, especially in Beby’s energy.
Ducatiranda will have to go home early after his meeting with Veranda that left him with a big grin across his face. But then again, I remember that I still got Veranda’s ticket and I decided to give him the tickets so that he can enjoy more of this festival. Ducatiranda then said his goodbye after his session with Ve ended.
Some times after that, Okinavva is back after his handshake session with Dhike. And oh boy, he was literally cluttered after his meeting with Dhike. 0 out of 10? 9 for him. The level is getting higher in each of his encounter with the girls. He was also shocked that Dhike knows a little bit of Japanese along with a very weird (but cute nonetheless) introduction moment from Dhike : “MIKAN DAISUKI!” (I Love Oranges!) right after Okinavva just entered the booth.
Okinavva also went for Kinal, Sendy, and a lot more girls. Hopefully he will write his experience here in the future.
Last few sessions, and here goes Mr. Adik and Okinavva turn for their moment of truth. An out of breath Okinavva just returned after his session with Ve. And guess what? After we asked him his opinion from the scale of 0 to 10, his answer is a perfect sharpie 19. There goes Okinavva with his new found Oshi in Veranda!
Mr. Adik also enjoy his time with Beby as well and came back with a very happy and bright face. “Unbelievable,” he said. But he noted one thing though: He is extremely disappointed in how the fans behave by throwing away their trash/junk just like that in the vicinity of the handshake event.
Have the locals got no sense of responsibility? This one note makes us think hard to do some volunteer job next time by collecting the trash or at least by giving the fans a bag or something to throw away their trashes.
While Da-Chi….well..just let him rest for a while after a shocking moment when Ve said his name correctly and welcomed him with: “Da-Chi♥” *wink*
The event that night ended with the mini-concert at around 11 PM. We said our goodbye and promise to hang out together once again in our next Jadilah Nekad program.
A very special thanks goes to our guests that night : Da-Chi, Ducatiranda, Okinavva, Mr. Adik, and of course the guide and one of our contributors, Japarta. To our JKT48Stuff contributors, OOM48 members and friends, Kuran666er and friends, the JKT48 members, and a lot more of people I met there, thank you! This day won’t be that fun without all of you guys!
so if i count correctly it was Da-Chi, Wotaliano, Ducatiranda, Okinavva (non-fans), woooh Veranda’s hurricane effect is a thing, ladies and gentlemen!!
can someone tell me which one is who on that pic above? (including the boogeyman of course )
Yep, Ve is drop dead gorgeous …combine that with ojou-sama type idol…well…yeah
(IMHO, one of the prettiest girl in 48g, along with Naanya (Team B) and Annin (Team A))
That said, I want to go to HS event, but I’m a pretty awkward and shy person, I’m afraid I’ll just puke in front of the girls
Puke?? So you’ll just puke and your vomit’ll be all over your oshi’s finest dress?? Is your awkwardness really that bad?
well perhaps, but some said, during an event in Makassar, a lucky fans was called to the stage and was given a challenge: to look at Ve in the eyes for 10 seconds. the rumour went that the fans passed out (became unconscious) that’s nerves for you
what a weakling. (sorry, kidding :P)
staring at Ve’s eyes for 10 seconds is easy for me.
a whole minute or two is another story, though.
Who is man at the left? Da-chi san? look like oda sensei
Seems i went in the same queue with you. Because we already ‘bathing’ before gettin the booth
