Guru menari terbaik slm 2 tahun @gitgitcha yang dr awal ngajarin saya dr gabisa dance smpe kyk skg.goodluck s2 nya kak :')gonna miss you!
The best dance teacher for the past 2 years who teach me how to dance from the start up until now. Good luck for your master degree :’) Gonna miss you!
Yes, Gatri Chandraswari or known better as Gitcha who has been with the JKT48 team since July 2011 has resigned to pursue an advanced degree.
Having just graduated from her studies in Classical, Ancient Mediterranean, and Near Eastern Studies and Archaeology, Gitcha will most likely to pursue her dream as a museum curator by concentrating herself for her master degree basing on her research on the development of art exhibits which would benefit disabled visitors at the National Museum for her Bachelor’s degree thesis.
Still clear on our mind how she work very hard to forge the girls to reach their current quality. How she transform the girls into a horde of dancing ninjas and butterflies. And how she protect the girls from an uninvited critic at a show shows her figure as not only a dance teacher, but also as a mother figure for the girls.
It is also evidently clear that some fans attacked her once virtually and verbally mainly for scolding Yona at the 2nd generation audition. What they don’t understand is her stern way of teaching the girls is for helping them in the long run. A tough love indeed, but proven to be efficient.
That being said, Sensei Gitcha, thank you for everything that you have done. Thank you for guiding the girls and good luck for your future endeavor!
UPDATE:
As RHKilis stated in the comment form:
This is Gitcha’s undergraduate thesis, submitted 26 June 2013 to the Faculty of Cultural Studies at the University of Indonesia:
Conveying Information Through the Art of Display for Disabled Visitors at the National Museum
Abstract:
This research investigates the conveying of information of the museum’s collection through the art of display that is applicable to visitors with special needs, which in this case are disabled people. There are millions of ways to communicate information on an archaeological artifact. Without clear information its significance is lost. Visitors with special needs becomes part of this research. Research is done at the National Museum, Jakarta, so that the museum can redevelop the participation of the people and to raise national education of Indonesia as well as distributing information about archaeology and the use of studying this subject.
We remember Gitcha sensei ‘s hard work and love for JKT48 members. She is the very person who colored JKT48’s performance from their beginning, and has been admired. Why don’t you leave your message and your gratitude here for Gicha sensei? In English, Bahasa Indonesia, Japanese, either language is fine. Who knows? she might be lurking around this website and read your message
Just another lazy author for JKT48Stuff whom mainly working with translations and sometimes writing articles about JKT48 with an obvious grammar problem. Was living his life as a JKT48 DD until...
Her attitude reminds me a lot of AKB48’s first sensei, which is coincidental (or fateful?) that Gitcha is also JKT48’s first sensei. Both senseis had a same militaristic persona in them, making them very distinctive and unique compared to other choreographers of their respective group.
She’s also one of the ‘most famous staff’ among her peers. Most – if not all – fans knew who Gitcha is, and they were familiar with her. She’s well-known even outside the staff circle.
I agree with you on the ‘Long Live Sensei!’ phrase, Angga. She deserved even a greater respect for what she had contributed in this past 2 years.
Long Live, Gitcha-sensei! Good luck on your degree!
Her future seems very bright.
I’m thankful to her for what she has been able to have done, she’s going to be missed by many obviously and with hope, her legacy of pushing hard work, practice and forthrightness will live in the members.
Godspeed Gitcha-san.

Hoho “anak FIB” , 26 Juni 2013, She just graduated, the world is so small!!!!!! Where did you got those Gitcha’s undergraduate thesis information RHKilis-San??????
Gitcha sensei is awesome, I mean she brings out “a different taste of dance’s style “.. you know that ENERGIC , SHARP AND “STRONG” vibe IMHO .. you know jkt48’s more alive and breathtaking than their sister ..
when I saw kimisuki, I smell something “new” at first glance.. but I thought (maybe) there’s something wrong wiith my eyes … but then after I observed and compared their dance style ( AKB48 vs JKT48 dance) now I do undestand why Haruka-san say .”JKT48’s dance is lil different from AKB48″
note: that’s jkt48 video is fancam and that akb48 oogoe diamond is edited quality for eyes cunsume
I see the different after re-obseves for almost 6 months… AKB48style more soft, and “asian”ish but jkt48’s more powerful, “masculin” and western-ish. it kinda remind me of agnezmo dance *I dunno why, is gitcha related to agnezmo ?? anyone know this???
welll thank ya for dinfo .. logicable then ..why these girls become “a new energetic” group ., something a different taste from akb48 if you are not a choreographer, it likely describes something that is wholly unexplainable, till you observes both of em for a long time period
Poor Gitcha, she has been studying for years to be a museum curator. Sadly, she lives in Indonesia. A country where a museum is significantly less popular than a shopping mall (or theatre). So, I propose she should stick with JKT48 instead. Yeah…..that’d be better.
We see High speed step in the Viva! Hurricane of KIII.
Because AKB doesn’t have such high speed step in their version, I think Gitcha-sensei herself might adopt it for KIII.
I am sorry to hear that Gitcha sensei is leaving JKT48 as one of Japanese fans.
I understand how hard she struggled to develop her students whom she had to teach from absolute zero.
Gitcha sensei, many thanks for all you have done for your beloved students.
I wish you the best of luck in your endeavors!
Thanks for your hard work for two years, Gitcha-sensei.
Your happy smile was unforgettable for me when you shot Dhike trying “Takabisha” and crying in Fuji-Q.
You go your next step, right? I’m cheering you heartily.
I wish JKT48 will have a special “graduation” show for her in JKT48 theater and it will be super great if she performs “Temo Demo”, “kagami”, “Tenshi” and “Jyunjyo”…
But yeah, I know it’s quite heard to come true…
gannbatte!!
Thanks a lot, Gitcha-sensei.
What makes me passionately support JKT48 is that I’m happy to see JKT48’s powerful performance.
Their performance “River” in Budokan was praised by AKB wota as well, it was nothing but because of Gitcha-sensei’s coaching. At that time, I, as a Japanese who support JKT48, was proud of their brave figure in Budokan, such as “You see? this is JKT48!”.
My request to JOT, if possible, Gitcha-sensei will be a honorary staff or a permanent member, and please allow her to come to their theater and their live anytime as long as JKT is in this world.
I understand that “ninjas and butterflies” means current members.
But does “the upcoming members” mean 3rd generation members?
If so, Gitcha sensei’s message is really full of love for current members, and exact what Gitcha sensei is.
“You know, I coached you. So do never lose!”

Yes she is. If i’m not mistaken, in the past she used to be Agnes Monica’s dance teacher.

Gitcha

Arigatougozaimaaasssshhhuuu……. Thank you and keep support ninjas and butterflies and the upcoming soldadas (means Soldiers in Spanish)
Ah, the Sensei is here
Welcome Sensei, and thank you for a great tireless job you did for the girls. And Soldadas? Roger that! I will keep that in mind.
