Jakarta Idol Weekends 2013 : My Experience
Three days of idoling activities. One was unplanned. One was unexpected. The last one was a perfect ending combined with a personal rage.
Day One : AFAID – IM3 Launcing IM3 Play, Kasuari Lounge, Jakarta Convention Center
My plan for the day was to visit the exhibition of Anime Festival Asia Indonesia 2013, located in Jakarta Convention Center, as well as waiting for the I Love Anisong concert in the evening. While I was buying some anime merchandises, a text came in my phone. It was from my friend , @rain_nic. “Go to Kasuari Lounge, one floor below”. On the way, I met Djt, our photographer for JKT48Stuff. There we found our friend already seated in front of the supposed IM3 launching stage. The seats was still empty. Some of the fans waiting on another IM3 stand in front of the Kasuari Lounge and AFA Maid/Butler Cafe. I sat in front row and Djt and Rain_Nic found their best place to take idol’s pictures.
The event start with the MC came and introduce the event. The MC ask the audience to do the Cesar Dance (the one from Hitam Putih, the Cesar figure himself is also starring the CM of IM3Play). With the help of those IM3 Ambassadors and some games. Then Fajri M. Santosa from Indosat opened the launching event. Then a video about IM3 Play came up to the big screen. Afterthat, the overture played. Funny it was because no one chanting the mix, maybe because it’s not really an idol event. The girls came down to the stage and playing JKT48. The members were Haruka, Dhike, Kinal, Ghaida, Gaby, Frieska, Melody, Ve, Ayana, Beby, Rica, Sendy, Sonya, Cindy Gulla, Delima, Shanju. The dance was really good. Especially Shanju, she’s the star of that event.
After they finished. The commercial starring JKT48 and Cesar was played on the big screen. Then, Indosat’s officials came up on the stage to have a photograph session with the press and media. Followed up by some presentation about IM3 Play.
During these presentation, I got up to clean myself up. Searching for some more merchandises to buy, I walked up to the upper floor. When I see around the stage was actually could be seen from the upperstage. The girls were teaching the audiences to dance KFC. Afterthat, they sang Oogoe Diamond. I did the furicopy from the upper floor. It was fun.
Day Two : Pajama Drive Revival Show, 1st Row. fX Sudirman.
I applied for Pajama Drive Revival Show. I don’t expect to win, that’s why I already have Anisong Ticket in my hand, to see Babymetal , especially. But then, I opened my email and saw that I win the 1st show for the day.
Well, it turn’s out I’m lucky. Mine and Djt’s tickets got the first row. It was the first time for me, so I prepared my heart.
To compare, this is Veranzzo’s report of the Night Show.
A Video was played in front of the audiences. It was about the theater 1st anniversary. Then, all the members ; Revival Senbatsus, Backdancers, Team J, Team KIII and Trainees (minus Jeje, Gaby, Sisil [ JKT48 Direct Selling in Palembang ] an Ikha and Sinka [Health conditions] ) came up to the stage. A ceremonial cake brought up, and the members and fans, altogether blew the cake. The members then went back to backstage.
For the rest of the show, to make my report short, is basically the same with Veranzzo’s, with some notes :
1. I don’t know about the night show, but the day one was somehow, messy. Some forgot their blocking, made it somehow strange. But for me, that doesn’t matter. For me, Revival Show is not only about performances but also about memories to remember and memories to be made. And the memories, somehow covers it all.
2. I’m really a fans of Temodemo no Namida song, and for me , Sendy and Stella create a wonderful ambiance to the song. They made the song doesn’t really felt like a cover of Yuki-Saeki anymore. They made the song their own. Sendy’s voice was remarkable and Stella’s voice had it’s own character. But their voices complete each other. And their steps was really harmonious . When they sang the song I almost cried TwT
3. And Viny’s beautiful.
A good show, a good mood booster for me to continue watching Babymetal as night follows
Day 3 : Jak-Japan Matsuri 2013 Closing, Monas.
I came here to meet some old friends, actually, not to see JKT48. But I was separated with them when the show was about to start and see Taka and Danu, two college friends of mine. Danu was in his third week of supporting JKT48, so I think I might joined them to watch the JKT48.
By then we noticed something at Lawson’s booth. There was a promotion held up by JKT48 members Rona and Noella. By then the staff announced that everyone buying Lawson’s shirts would got a two-shot. We didn’t really hesitate much, we brought the shirts and got two-shots with Noella. Thanks , Noel !
We back to the stage. But since It’s already crowded by JKT48 fans, we decided not to take any risk and just watched it from the far behind.
Denpagumi inc. , an idol group from Akihabara came up to the stage. The fans, mostly JKT48 fans are supporting them using JKT48 mix. Near me, Taka was the only person remembering the Denpagumi mix. Afterthis, some JKT48 Fans already made me angry for some point, but we will get to that.
After Denpagumi exited the stage, JKT48 came up to the stage. The Team J sang River. after a quick MC, it was Team KIII’s turn. Two songs, 1,2,3,4 Yoroshiku and Baby! Baby! Baby! (Passionate Prayer vers.). Then, the Team J entered, wearing white shirts. At first we thought they’re gonna perform Hikoukigumo or JKT48, but they made some formation. I realized something. That was a formation for a song JKT48 never performed live before. I looked at Taka’s face and he also realized this.
“FIRST RABBIT…!!” we screamed, almost at the same time.
We sang at the top of our lungs. We don’t do mixes or what, we sang.
After that, it was JKT48 singing JKT48, but tonight it was full version. The lyrics now includes kerak telor, nasi goreng, and Jakartans travelling on the roof of electric train. Oh well. ^.^
Then, the members asked us to dance Koisuru Fortune Cookies. Well this video from infzer0 might show you how fun it was.
Well that was the closing of my JKT48-related activities for the weekend.
Oh, there are some complaints to JKT48 fans during Jak Japan Matsuri Closing Ceremony :
1. While Denpagumi.inc was performing, some JKT48 fans are shouting “Turun ! Turun !” (Get Off The Stage) and “Durasi !” (Duration ! or to be exact, like “Your Time is Over!). This one got my nerves as I said before.
2. There’s a moment when a video showing Jakarta’s Governor Joko Widodo is speaking and some retards in front screaming “JKT! JKT!”
3. Some fans sold merchandises illegally on the ground of the festival.
For those doing these, please change your behavior.
Thanks and Viny Cantik Ya !!
Thanks to : Djt, rain_nic, KSK48, Imantaka Nugraha, Danu Ega and Adrianusa Sinthesa for accompanying me through the weekend.
You can check out some of the pictures djt took from (some part of) the event here
nice :3
Oh so much envy…you got the verification email for the revival show, my friend and I applied for all of the shows on saturday and monday but luck weren’t on our side.
I was on the friday’s event on JCC. I was holding back to do the chant, because it would be funny to be the only one doing it, and I somewhat regret for not doing it.
IMO no one chanting because the event is a formal event (many of the im3 higher-ups) are there, not to mention the venue is used for anime convention so that many anime-otaku-not-idol-otaku who were watching just to kill time waiting for the evening concert.
For the jak japan matsuri, I was standing nearer to the stage, in front of the projector. Too much crowd there, so no one can’t do the KFC dance
Anyway, nice article!
Some fans person’s (oknum) disturbing (meresahkan) attitudes : Shouting, screaming, and black-marketing. Hmmmm….much much better than last year. (Starting a riot, fighting, scaring off the Mayor, intimidating media).
sasuga Indonesian fans!
Uh…actually, the video is that of JKTxSG collaboration. So yeah, some of them are our fellow fans from Singapore.
Kameha me ha!! Kameha me ha!!
:LOL
