JKT48 Featured on Shachou Shima Kousaku

Shachou Shima Kousaku is a slice of life manga authored by Kenshi Hirokane as a part of a series about fictional salaryman named Kousaku Shima who through the years have reached the position of President of a company (Shachou).

As an excerpt took from Wikipedia : At the start of the long-running series, Shima Kousaku is a kachou, or section chief, of a huge conglomerate, Hatsushiba Electric. He is later promoted to buchō (division chief) and eventually promoted to manager and executive-director, and with each promotion the title of the series changed as well. He was promoted to the president of Hatsushiba Electric, and the title changed to “Shachou” Shima Kousaku, which means “President Kosaku Shima”.

According to Anon, this manga is pretty popular among people aged 40-50 in Japan.

JKT48 is featured for a few pages of the manga itself as per spoilers took by a G+ user from Japan, Thank you very much たなべひろし-san :D.

Anon also gave us a little bit of resume from the pages above that one of the characters seems like to be surprised but the fans that really resembles those back home in Japan.

What interesting is that this is the first time the local girls face and the theater location been drawn directly into a long running manga series as far as I know. AKB49 does talk about JKT48 and did the drawings of Akicha and Haruka shortly before though.
