The Bridge is Disconnected – Students Desperately Swim the River – Cianjur, West Java

Student : “Because the raft is full… can not ride the raft… we had to swim… me and my friends… no choice but to swim … afraid of being late … must swim … ”

    They must risk his life
for their ideals and dreams …

    We have no other choice
    to get to school …
Despite the obstacles we had to face
but it did not dampen this spirit
to race with the swift water
and depth of the river …

Coastal Students’ struggle – Crossing the River to Go to School – Pesisir Selatan, West Sumatra

Uniforms are Often Wet by River Water – Pesisir Selatan, West Sumatra

We still have a spirit for school!!!

That is a tear jerking video. Now I wonder where the hell is my TAX MONEY GOES TO? Those kids need it more!

      • HERMAN says:

Your tax money goes to people like Gayus Tambunan, Dhana Widyatmika, Pargono Riyadi, Djoko Susilo, Ahmad Fathanah, Luthfi Hasan Ishaq, Angelina Sondakh and many others. See? No wonder they didn’t have any money left just for one simple and short bridge. So, the result is those students are screwed.

Dude, you really know a lot of those tax officials celebrities.
I work in the tax office, and it’s sucks

  2. The need for a clear vision in education is probably Indonesia’s biggest obstacle in entering the global stage. Indonesians have already proven to be academically competitive on the global stage, winning many international science and mathematics olympiads. The challenge for the government is to be able to provide the same resources equally to disadvantaged students, and the latest effort to restructure the curriculum is showing that the government is not yet ready to tackle it.

Added by the fact that the current Minister of Education stated that English is not needed for 3rd graders and the plan to remove English from the current curriculum is on the work. That is just illogical.
