wow.. there ‘re a lot of people who were in awe when they’re watching the girls… Especially here in Indonesia..

    just a thought :
*well i know that’s not what you intended to be… but the article it makes those Indonesian who live in the overseas really contradict with those who really is an overseas person :/* just ironic

    • Djt says:

Well that’s indonesian … The worst enemies of indonesian is indonesian …. Nothing strange regarding that ^^; ironic but that’s the reality

Well that’s indonesian … The worst enemies of indonesian is indonesian …. Nothing strange regarding that ^^; ironic but that’s the reality. I hope we can start to have pride to our self as indonesian specialy to those who things they “not” indonesian anymore

I know that everyone have right to dislike, but the only feeling I got from those kind of people is that they are acting so childishly.

      Well, just my 50 cents.

  3. Buddy says:

from what i read they already know Kinal, Melody, Nabilah and jeje. i laugh when read comment about “dahsyat” (local TV show) use cheap camera work and lame sound systems. it prove that “dahsyat” hated by local fans and international fans.

    • 30oshi says:

however, they (Dahsyat) contributeed improving JKT48 popularity among local fans.. thanks to them..
and about the sound an video: can’t agree more!.. They’re sucks! LOL

Well , It’s okay though, everyone has the right to love or hate something. :) And all the praises done, let them never made our head big. Anonymous comment on the Internet are… anonymous. JKT still have more to prove.

I was at the AIDOL chat during the stream and it saddens me when some wrote their disapproval of this cover. I won’t name names but some of the response was “I HOPED THEY WERENT THERE BAH … sorry guys”, “ewwwwwwwww”, “why must RIVER”, “What the F****”, “I really just removed my headphones”, “ARRRGH knp mesti d translate sih?”, “jelek banget ditranslatenya wew”, “id rather no foreign groups, as i dont understand them lmao”, “I can’t even watch it :(“, “lagunya gk enak -,- ”

But I was happy at the amount of international fans who got excited too! Some were just common excitements, the few ones that are specific were:
Gocchisama: they look so into it, it’s great
    Chronos_Zero: Kinal is so cute
Ale from AIDOL: He said the voice is addictive and got excited along with everyone
Melos from Melos no Michi: He got excited too except he was yelling “WHERE IS RONA”, hahahaha.
Half-san from Half-Assed Subs: He said that Kinal was so cool and when someone commented the Indonesians must be so happy right now he said, “I’m not Indonesian but I’m just as happy”. Half-san even shouted the “AKU SUKA” part in Kimisuki, Hahahaha.

Keep in mind this was a live chat and all the thoughts here were written as we were watching the streaming.

I was very impressed with their performance “river” yesterday while watching on You-tube. I saw them for the first time on a video sharing site when they had just started their activities as JKT48. At the time even to be courteous, I couldn’t say they were good at dancing. However, their dancing and performances have been steadily improving with time!! I am gonna continue supporting them and keeping an eye on thier performances. Good luck.

  10. sunred says:

    I enjoyed RIVER so much!
Thank you JKT48 for such an energetic performance.

Both languages are foreign to my tongue, but to convey the essence of the song, what I’ve seen yesterday is more than a thousand words.
and in a merging global society like where we are currently, complaining about language which doesn’t feel right to your ears is just exposing your superficiality.

the world is more than two or three syllables.
it is an echo of a thousand songs.
    learn to live with it.

this performance just make me keep clicking replay button on youtube. :(
someone help me to stop.. :-?

  12. says:

Hi guys! I’m here to tell you all the comments from brazilian JKT fans about RIVER performance. We’re really happy with all the improvement of JKT! We really love JKT and we think they performed it better than SNH because we can feel a powerful aura in JKT’s River performance! We think JKT did a excellent job and we’re really proud of them all!

  13. KEKE says:

Akicha△ means “Akicha-san keren” in japanese web
    this is a play-on-words

    • Angga says:

Ah thanks! I totally clueless what △ meant

      • KEKE says:

△ is “Sankaku(kei)” in japanese, but usually pronounced as “Sankakkei” or “Sankakkee”.
So, あきちゃ△ can be readed as “Akicya Sankakkee”.
And “Kakkee(かっけえ)” is informal expression (for example uesd on internet or among the friends) of the original word “Kakkoii(かっこいい)=cool, keren”.
        Therefore, あきちゃ△→”Akicya Sankakkee”→”Akicya-san kakkee”→”Akicya-san keren”.

  14. Buddy says:

i think anyone who dislike about this song translation difference from original song is just want to find place where they can say bad things to others. they don’t know how hard to translate foreign song into our language song. i think there is not much difference from AKB original song because i still can understand the meaning/message in this “RIVER” song. in my opinion this song is telling us to never give up and face all chalenges in your life to make your dreams come true. when i watch JKT48 member sing and dance with so much spirit and power it make me think that JKT48 really successfull deliver message from this “RIVER” song. i don’t know what happen with people who see JKT48 in that place (budokan). but for me who just watching JKT48 sing “RIVER” in youtube already give me spirit.

This is the kind of thing I want to see of Indonesians in general.

  17. Gensoukyou1337 says:

I mean, Indonesians making things that are so good it makes a sort of an earth-shattering kaboom on people’s minds.
