Haruka’s Interview in Sports Nippon
by Angga · April 16, 2013
Before running in the Guam marathon, Haruka went back to Japan for a few days. And she was interviewed by one of the most popular sports newspaper in Japan, which name is Sports Nippon, issued 1.2 million copies per day.
The interview article was on that newspaper in the morning on April 16th, which occupied more than half page of the back cover. She talked about her activity in JKT48, fans in Indonesia and her dream.
Let me introduce some part of the article.
Q: What about your life in Jakarta?
H: I’m very satisfied. Everybody says “You look bright,” even Mr. Akimoto said “You look so happy.” It’s due to the change in my life.
Q: In your theater performances, Indonesian fans cheered you with “Chozetsu Kawaii, Haruka!” in Japanese, right?
H: At the top of their lungs. Japanese fans tend to hesitated, however Indonesian fans do never hesitate to shout. I think their cheers are louder than that of Japanese fans.
Q: Do you feel any difference from Japanese fans?
H: In Indonesia, it takes longer until we get the encore request. It is probably came from their heart to “Let the members take some rest first.” At first I was so confused like “How come? No encore request…?” (laughing)
Q: Do you remember the old days of AKB?
H: I joined AKB a year after they were born. And I joined JKT also a year after they were born. These are quite similar stage. Recently JKT theater is a total sold-out, I hope JKT gets bigger and bigger like AKB.
Q: What do you wish to be in Jakarta?
H: My dream is to be an actress. I think my Jakarta career is the beginning for that. Many people said “You wish to be an actress, but why you must move to Jakarta? If you move, you cannot work as an actress in Japan any more, you understand!?” Actually a few times a year I had played the drama in the theater. However, I thought that if I can speak Bahasa Indonesia, if I play drama in Indonesia, and if many people in Indonesia get to know myself, my activity will be enlarged widely. You know, Indonesia has this big population. If I am cheered by Indonesian people, it will also become a big topic in Japan.(laughing) I will learn English too, and I hope to advance to Hollywood.
Q: Compared with yourself before your move to JKT, have you grown up?
H: My biggest growth is responsibility. Now I strongly feel I AM “A JKT48 member” rather than “Studying Overseas”. We hope to release JKT’s CD in Japan, to be active in Asia including Japan. We don’t want to be left behind by AKB. I myself should support other members to popularize JKT.

“My biggest growth is responsibility. Now I strongly feel I AM “A JKT48 member” rather than “Studying Overseas””
Oh, Haruka……I’ve lost my word that sentences
thanks harugon…
i really appreciate it…
yokatta, you’re the one who moved to JKT48…
i’ll always shout your name in theater…
thank you!
I’m Mano Haruka
Hi Japarta san,
Thank you for your quick translation. What a large article!
I hope that Harugon will stay in Indonesia and keep doing her role and responsibility in JKT48 as long as she can.
she is soooo AWZOM!!!!
even mr. Akimoto said she looks so happy
me also happy to read that…
I think, depending on Harugon’s original open- mind character, she became truely the one of JKT48 members. I think that Harugon’s “overseas study” project is the 1st successful and proud result. I think that Harugon went so far beyond “overseas study”, but sounds like Harugon is the one of the I donesian residents. This result is that I wished when Harugon was annouced to transfer to Jakarta at Tokyo Dome, the last hot summer day. I continue to cheer Harugon’s happy life in Jakarta. Finally, I hope many Japanese working persons who are staitioned in vaious overseas cities and who are depressed should learn Harugon’s possitive attitude.
I think this might make you fall on your knee … http://www.langitberita.com/environment/81068/haruka-jika-semua-member-jkt48-ikut-aku-juga-ikut/ .
She revealed to the media that she will participate in AKB48 Senbatsu Sousenkyo once all other JKT48 member can/are allowed to participate
Yeah, that’s a good idea. Sooner or later, JKT48 will be enrolled into “SouSenkyo(General Election)”. If so, we have better to call this event as “WorldWide Sousenkyo”. Don’t you feel sounds good? Incld. SNH and TPE(can’t see even now..) and so on:)
KageTora san. I’ve read all the articles, not only Harugon, but also Diasta. Appreciate for the link. I plan to subscribe this net news(?) from now on. Anyway, Harugon’s positive attitude always with JKT48, not AKB48 is prefferable I think. Because as Harugon said before, she is the one JKT48. Good job, Harugon, “Kakko Ii!”.
If there is such an advocate from within, such a thing may actually happen sooner than later. Although sometimes I wonder if her support of JKT48 affects her position with management in any way because she is technically supposed to be a representative of AKB48 for cultural exchange.
Haruka!!!!!!!!
I love you!!!!
Haruka is an successful example of AKB member overseas transfer program. Next is SKE!!!!
Harry tanoe should make akimoto extend Haruka contract in JKT48.Many girls become JKT48 fans because of haruka.i even saw some malaysian and singaporean(singapore citizen is singaporean right?-_-??) came to handshake event for her.
And with her,we will dominate the SEA and after that the world!!! muahahahahhahahaha!!!(DR Evil reference, yes it was Dr Evil in Austin Power if u still don’t know)
joking aisde she is undoubtly become irreplaceable member in JKT48 now
just imagining…
what could fans think, when her contract in JKT is over.
maybe, it’s will be phenomenal, equal to acchan graduation.
*just saying
I was impressed to her commitment to JKT48, I also surprised when I read her announcement about Senkyo in G+. Right away, after read the post, i bought CD for handshake with her and i said to her:
(“Haruka, I was impressed to know that you have declined the election to in JKT. I’ll cheer you up all the way! !”)
heartfelt words from me.. :RESPECT:
